How to unlock the Father Lucifer achievement in Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition - Definitive Guide

After completing the Immaculate trials you'll need to go the town of Sacred Stone which is already marked on your map. When you reach the town if you don't have Bairdotr in your party, head back to the homestead and place her in your party. When back in Sacred Stone head to the north and you'll see a waterfall. Head through it and enter the cave. You'll meet Jareth at a pile of bodies, when the dialogue is through and the fight starts, the achievement will pop.

I'm not sure if you need to have spoken to Bairdotr about her past as I'd used her pretty much all game up until this point. So it maybe wise to speak to her periodically before this point.

EDIT: It seems you need the Independant trait to get her to side with you.

It also seems that you need the Independent trait, because I had Obedient and Bairdotr chose to side with Jareth. I didn't get the achievement, and I'm guessing that's why. Even reloaded the game and tried again, still didn't get it.

I can't speak to the independent trait, but I can confirm you don't have to use her in your party or ever go back and talk to her during your quest. Once I made it to Sacred Stone I went and picked her up from The Homestead and went and fought Jareth. I did have the independent trait and had no issues poping the achievement.

I, like Snotrocket07, had no problems getting this. I'd never had Bairdotr in my party until the moment before the encounter. I did not have the independent trait. No issues. Achievement popped at the beginning of combat. Great solution.

I don't know if it voids the achievement, but you can initiate a fight with Jareth without having a conversation with him and Baridotr will be on your side for the fight according to this quest guide that I read even if you don't have independent. Like I said though, I don't know if that voids the achievement, but I guess it's worth a shot if someone gets there and she sides with him.

It does void the achievement. I tried that as well when I couldn't get it and no achievement.

I can confirm Independent is NOT required.

Both of my Source Hunters have obedient. Not sure what the secret sauce is, but Ive used Bairdotr the whole game and spoke to her everytime there was an exclamation point.

Other than being supportive and doing good things, I can't think of a specific requirement for her to side with me, but she did.

This is now the 3rd achievement in this game I've been glitched out of. I did what the solution says and nothing. Bairdotr always joins her father and fights me. After researching this problem it is obvious that Charity Diary IS CORRECT. You must have a Source Hunter w/ independent trait to get this. No way to go back now, thumbs down from me for not having the most important part of the solution listed.
