Once you have obtained the Stasis Fern after purchasing it from the elemental in the basement to the north of the swamp. Head back to Cassandra.
Make a save, and give the fern to Arhu to get this achievement and trigger a fight with Cassandra.
Reload that save and give Cassandra the fern to unlock:

I give the Stasis Fern to Arhu, but the Achievement doesn't pop...
It triggers a fight with Cassandra, and she is invulnerable...
UPDATE: I eventually quit out of the game, started it up again, gave Arhu the fern again, and it popped first try.

I've talked to Shearah and she didn't give me a stasis fern. Any ideas?
