How to unlock the Hot Swedish Action achievement in DJ Hero 2 - Definitive Guide
(+1 to anyone that knows who ABBA is)
Easiest way to get this achievement:
Play: 2 player Checkpoint battle (easiest if you have 2 turntables, but can also be done on-line)
Mix: Snow - Informer vs. The Jackson 5 - ABC
Difficulty - Any that you feel comfortable with and can do well on.
(I did this on Expert, My little brother did it on Medium)
*Will not work on Easy as there are no cross fades on Easy
Player 1 should do NOTHING at all for the first 2 checkpoints. Once the 2nd checkpoint has passed, play the rest of the song as well as possible, You should get an 'ABBA' rating at the end of the mix. And of course the achievement!
Player 2 really doesn't have to do anything. Have your girlfriend or wife try playing :)
I got this achievement first try using this method.
I used this comment as my guideline for doing this achievement with one controller:

Just to make this tip more exact...My stats were the following when I achieved Hot Swedish Action in the battle with Kid Itch (Empire Mode / London):
Result: Draw
Difficulty: Medium
Checkpoints Won: 7
Hits: 69%
Total Hits: 177 / 253
Freestyle Sections Hit: 13 / 13
Freestyle Sample Sections Hit: 6 / 6
Freestyle Crossfade Sections Hit: 7 / 7
I hope this makes aiming for the A,B,B,A-result more easier.
Concentrate on getting A's on scratches and freestyles. Remember you can ignore everything else over these. Getting enough non-freestyle crossfades and taps shouldn't be a problem with this mix and difficulty. More likely you get them too much and get A's on them (especially crossfades)... so hold your horses with these.
If you don't get it right on your first try, view your stats after the battle to see what you need to adjust on your next try.
Should take few tries at most this one to pop. Took me four tries.
The criteria for unlocking it is a touch confusing, at first, but once you commit it to memory, you'll able to try for it during play.
So if you've got a second peripheral handy, you won't be forced to drop any games in attempting this.
The hardest part of this is getting the A in Freestyling, I do believe. I get confused as to what falls under freestyling so my methodology basically saw me using the effects at any opportunity, and basically going ballistic during the freestyle sections - it's going to take some luck, that I can assure you.
And special thanks to turlanator for this fine tip:
This mix is pretty easy to get an A in Freestyle if you stick to the rhythm of the track.
Good luck, see you in Waterloo.

This is a tricky trophy. You will need to be in a Battle to even attempt this trophy, whether it be local play (with 2 turntables) or online. You need to get rank A for Scratching and Freestyling while getting rank B for Taps and Crossfading. It will take some experimenting to get the proper ranks.
If you have two turntables and can do it locally and an easy way to do this is to play Snow-Informer vs Jackson 5-ABC. Do nothing for the first two checkpoints (except for the effects dial) and then ace the rest of the song. Easy as that!
There is no sure fire, concrete way to obtain this achievement. Different songs require you to miss a different amount of notes to get B's for Taps and Crossfades. I managed this on the Timbaland mix for "Way I Are." What I did was miss around 30-40 Taps and was intentionally late on almost every crossfade. I did this during a checkpoint battle online.
If you have the other player simply lay down in defeat, you can get this within the first 7 checkpoints and it takes around a minute and a half. It's not the most difficult in terms of skill, but it definitely will allude many a player.
