Reach grade 50 in Xbox LIVE Battles.

50

How to unlock the Upgraded achievement in DJ Hero 2 - Definitive Guide

You'll need 12.740 Djp to reach grade 50.

This achievement is easily boostable with another friend over Xbox Live like that:

1. Get your friend to boost with you online by promising to get him grade 50 first and it'll take not longer than 2 days.

2. Choose Checkpoint Battle and the following song:
"House of Pain - Jump Around vs Busta Rhymes - Put your hands where my eyes can see them"
This song is only 2:22 long and therefore perfect for boosting.

3. Your friend now needs to only put his crossfader to the left position and you leave your turntable as it is. After 2 minutes your friend will win and receive Djp.

4. After two wins your friend will get 2x10, then 3x10 up to 10x10 per mix + a bonus of 100 Djp after the tenth won mix in a row.

5. When he's grade 50 switch it. You'll level up much faster because you will get the points (10x10 after 10 mixes) + level difference (1x49, 2x48 ... again up to 10xlevel difference).

6. With this method you'll get grade 50 in like 15-20 hrs plus you can go away doing stuff like surfing on the internet etc.

Method tested and proofed. Made by me and Yuriam. If there is any question feel free to answer.

Edit:
Just some additional infos:

- You don't need to be in an Xbox Live Party
- Don't play with "friends", privat matches don't give you a damn point. You need to find your friend in the ranked matches which is easier than you think. Just choose:

Battle against: Anybody
(The other option here is friend which doesnt work for your goal)
Choose your difficulty: Doesnt f'in matter
(The difficulty doesn't matter at at, I had expert while my buddy had Medium)
Battle length: One Mix
(You only get DJ Point when the battle is over so make it short (; )
Opponent Grade: Depends on the Level of your Opponent
(Is he higher choose higher and so on, you get the deal

-Just hit the search button at the same time and the chance you find each other is very high. You can also easen up by playing at night as we did, but it can happen that some dudee comes between you. Then just leave and try again. Its easy to find each other (;

And some additional Infos from LLC2003 as well for you:

"1. Try and hit 100% notes in the mix and you will get a bonus DJP bonus.
10djp - Beginner
20djp - Easy
30djp - Medium
40djp - Hard
50djp - Expert

To make it easy on expert just choose the first mix and then choose checkpoint, there is only 100 notes until you knockout the opponent. Using this method you can get 150 djp every time.

1. Try and play as many games after 10 as possible
As noted by AndiakaVannir above you get a 10x bonus after you win 10 in a row, this will continue until you turn off your xbox. If you turn off your xbox you win streak will unfortunately go back to 1x and you will have to win a further 9 games until you get to the 10x bonus.

3. If you still need the Tappity Tap Tap achievement pick a song with more taps.
If like me, you have completed all single player and you just need the online achievements pick a song with more taps. This way you can get online wins and make progress towards your tap achievement. There is a song about 3 or 4 down (Young money I think) that is very easy and has 120-140 taps in 2 minutes.

As I have two xboxs I have been boosting against my second 'dummy' account, so far I have been playing for just under 10 hours and I am on rank 43."

Happy Dj'ing ;)

Can I ask for an update or overhaul of this solution? There are a couple of things that really need to be addressed IMHO:

1) You can miss out on the "Bigger they are..."achievement for winning ten games against a higher placed opponent.
2) You can combine this achievement with these three achievements: "Professional face Remover", "Accumulate" and "Like Bacon".
3) You can't use the song mentioned on a new save.

Would appreciate!

What's really annoying me about this is that even though you may not have lost a game, if someone quits on you during a game you lose your streak! Make sure you give all those #%@# a bad rep/quit game review! I'd be on a much higher level now if it wasn't for these quitters.

Also bad game design, the streak should continue!

Add me if you're keen to get this achieve GT: Sargemo369

I hate how it does that. If a boxer threw in the towel, and walked away during a fight, the opponent wins by default, correct? What would he say if the announcer said he didn't win, but not only that, his 50 fights undefeated streak had suddenly ended. He didn't lose, therefore it would be 51 fights undefeated, wouldn't it?

This is what I hate about some games.

Yeah really frustrating. You lose your games played streak too. Unbelievable. Surely the DJ Hero peeps can patch this up. Not sure how old the game is but given I bought it just recently for a bargain I'm guessing it's a little old and they won't patch :(

It's only about 7 months old, but the developers aren't working on DJ Hero for some time, and won't be doing anything with previous games for now, so we're very unlikely to see a patch. Though I do believe they said the next one, if it happens, will correct this issue.

Just wanted to come back and say thank you to AndiakaVannir and LLC2003, for the great guides. I now have 1000/1000 in DJ Hero 2, and it was those guides that gave me the motivation to finally boost the abysmal LIVE portion of the game.

Thank you very much! :D

You're welcome, also. I'm glad my Beats and Pieces guide has been helping a lot of people! I did post a Super Streak guide, but I'm not certain that it's as good as my B&P guide, so I apologise if it does not help.

I hate you too. These two achievements are the only ones that I need for 100% in DJ Hero 1 and 2, but B&P can really, REALLY, go fuck itself. 4 stars was all I could manage. I read your solutions Callum and beside your great style of writing I find it very helpful. maybe I'll try again. Thanks for the guides, I love/hate you, dude (;

Haha, thanks! Good luck! B&P gets a lot easier when you know which sections to practice and when to use rewinds/euphoria. I'm sure you'll get it soon. Super Streak is probably the hardest achievement I've ever unlocked on DJ Hero. :/

LLC2003 - Thank you for that comment! You've given me the motivation to finish this now! Best part of it is, I have just seen DJ Hero 2 in Asda for £7 (No turntables), and I have 2 turntables so I can boost. CeX are also buying DJ Hero for £7, so the second copy will cost me nothing!

trouble with this, in my experience is i found that no one wants to boost, as its frustrating, boring and you could just be having a laugh playing something else. If i had another xbox believe me id have taken the easy option in this rare case and boosted myself (as per the above solution) because this will annoy you, no end.

If you want it legit, or simply are forced to do obtain it legit then you can expect this:

I played 265 battles, winning 198 of them. this took about 30 hours.

around 50!! people quit on me, severly slowing down the process of levelling up. (usually id get 4 or 5 wins in a row, before someone quit.) it is the quitting that is soul destroying, if only they didnt, then the win streak bonus of x10 (100 dj points) for each mix speeds things up drastically. I never saw past a x7 so i wouldnt know.

im an expert player but played mostly on medium, this is because i would usually win, and fc the mix (easilly) so id end up with around 30djp per battle.

go for 1 mix battles. try and do 10, to get the 10 mixes in a row, prob endup 12 with 2 people quitting. you get 100 djp or the 10 mixes so its important.

Avoid the checkpoint and dj battles, i found them incredably frustrating and would usually result in a loss the occassional time i played them. (seemed very random to me)

avoid very low players, especially lvl 1 etc as they nearly always quit (lack of skill, or not understanding the rules of the game mode)

i often did a couple of 3 mix battles, purpously letting the other player win the first or 2nd mix (not use any star power, or effects special scratching, whilst maintaing an fc) and then id win the last, winning 2 -1 whilst fc ing each mix usually gave me 90+ djp. as pointed out in other guides you need 12,740. its alot! stick with it, do a couple hours at a time, 10 1 mix battles each time and with fcs if you can and it will be yours! also dont quit your self, as you dont keep your win streak etc and you ll be just as bad as the others out there. (iv never given such bad feedback to soooo many people lol)

took me just under two weeks. on the plus side i did enjoy playing it and am proud i got this legit ;)

For some crazy reason this inspired me to get it legitimately, lol!
BUT, considering the fact that I got a second Xbox, I'll probably be boosting it.
NOT PROUD though, I must admit...

i dont blame you if you finish it off boosting. this was a very annoying cheevo to get, mainly because people just quit on you. if you ve got the option to boost, and even better boost by yourself, then i wont judge you for it lol.

75% of the players I met did quit before the end, so the quest for this achievement was truly long and painful. But now I'm level 50, at last ! Now I can proudly yell : 'Get bent you bloody ragequitters !!!! Hahahahahaha !!!!!' Hum...

UNOBTAINABLE due to online shutdown

This is your classic online grind trophy. Read the Special Notes at the end of the Road Map for some tips on how to level faster. Also, boost if possible.

To get level 50, you need a little more than 12k DJ points. DJ P system: for 1 win you get 10 DJ P, for 2 wins in a row you get 20, the maximum streak is 10 wins in a row, i.e. for the 10th victory in a row you get 100 DJ P, for the 11th also 100, etc., but believe me, it is extremely difficult to get a streak of 10 victories, because if during the battle your opponent or you leave, then the whole your streak is reset to zero and for this battle you will receive 2 DJ P x on your streak, for example, there was a streak of 7 victories, during the battle you or your opponent left and you receive 16 DJ P, because this battle is also taken into account. For a loss you get 2 DJ P, for a draw it seems like 2, if you play the mix 100%, you will get 40 DJ P, also never leave the battle, because 10 battles played in a row will give you 100 DJ P,

My method for getting to level 50. First, make the maximum number of other achievements so that you can play well on hard, then play battery mode online (a mode where you need to type a streak of notes and fix it; when fixed, it does not drop to 0 as in the “streak” mode). it just saves on this line and you continue to type further, at the beginning of the song you are given 3 saves, but throughout the song you can replenish your saves by playing certain sections without errors, so you need to save wisely, every 100-150 notes or before a difficult section), This mode is good because if you play on hard (play well), then all opponents on medium and below will simply not chase you down the streak, even if you make a mistake a couple of times, and opponents on expert will not run far, because . will often make mistakes (except for top players), the main thing is to take songs of difficulty 7/10 so that it is not too difficult for you, and it is not too easy for people who are experts. It’s better to practice a couple of songs and take them, and if the opponent’s song, then give 100, but just don’t quit.
