How to unlock the You're Golden achievement in DJ Hero 2 - Definitive Guide

You're Golden - 5 star Galvanize on Expert difficulty.

"Galvanize" is one ot the harder Songs on DJ Hero 2. I recommend using the Euphoria Deck instead of the Multiplier Deck. There is a rather large Crossfading section that you can rack up some easy points on if you use these. Rewind could also be a big help.

Video below, thanks to Chrisdgaf13.

The guy in the video wastes half of that Euphoria using it there on that chunk when you can use the effects knob to keep the score exactly the same there.

I'd save it for that long bit with all the quick fades and just hammer the red button.

Or...that's what I plant to do. When I win ;)

Just a heads up for anyone going for the 5* all Expert achievement "You're the Best"

If you 5* this song in Empire mode in the first set of Ibiza (encore), you will get the achievement for it but it WON'T COUNT towards "You're the Best"

Save yourself doing this twice by doing it in Quickplay.

The same thing happens with Firestarter if you 5* it in Empire mode, it won't count.

It happens with any song which is included in a megamix type setlist (first set of any of the locations) where your score does not reset between songs and your Euphoria carries over between songs.

I know this because I played Empire mode on Expert only on someone else's profile and all the songs that are in a megamix setlist did not have stars next to them at all in Quickplay when I finished Empire mode. This included Galvanize, Firestarter and Speed Rail.

right, this is difficult if you dont know the song however this is how i got the achievement and it works quite well,

Deck used> Euphoria Deck
Optional Deck>Multiplyer (not recommended)

you need to be able to do the whole intro part without missing a note...this is the bit where it goes >> GGGGGGGGGGGGGGG *crossfades with red* to the part when it goes pretty much impossible to hit with the wierd GRBGRBGRB combo....however when doing the beginning you need to keep turning the Multiplyer dial thingy to get tha x8 this honestly gets you near 1 star or over 1 star quite quickly.....then you obvs need to hit as many notes possible....untill you get to the Crossfade section in the middle....(before hitting this i recommend getting atleast 1 of the 2 perfect regions) with this Crossfade section it comes down 3 times.....the first time its easish with just the crossfading (DONT USE EUPHORIA HERE!) when the second one starts soon as you press the 1st Red button activate euphoria....the euphoria will now crossfade the last 2 sections for you racking up an easy x8 bonus concentrate on hitting the red mainly...Also to this if you manage to have a rewind use it at the end of the 3rd crossfade section this will help rake in even more points(when theres ANY red button freestyle...spam the red button as much as possible...more hits the more points and it would help witha x8 multiplyer or x4) from here you should be around 4stars or just above it...now this is the hardish bit....you honestly just need to practice the combo of crossfading and the double buttons till the end...hopefully follow this and you will get 5 Stars...soon as you do hit the 5 stars....you can literally relax for the rest of the song....when you finish the achievement will pop up giving you 18G :O !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry i have no video however i will be recording this to explain easier if anyone needs help .... message my GT and i will gladly show you how...in a Multiplayer match ...

TIP ** use rewinds as frequent as possible to gain any extra points as possible however keep atleast one for the 3rd crossfade section to basically gain more points**

Are you sure that freestyle taps count as points? Because fades and scratches don't, as far as I can tell.

Thumbed you up anyway, just curious.

Oookay, I can clearly see that in the video in the solution above yours that they do count. Holy crap, I have to try this again.

Just to follow up after a long research session, all freestyle sections are worth points...sometimes lots of points. I can't tell if the multiplier/euphoria affects them, but I do think that your "style" is worth more than just hammering on the button/fader.

You need a lot of practice and some quick fingers as well. Before actually attempting the achievement, id suggest using the speed deck that increases the speed the notes come at you. Yes you WILL be overwhelmed but don't worry this is just so you get used to the notes. If you do this a few times switch to a regular speed deck (For this i used the deck that doubles your score for every tap since there are A LOT) and play the song with that and in no time you should be able to play it with your eyes closed in no time! If you still feel the speed is a bit overwhelming, try using the speed deck again until you feel comfortable at normal speed.

I never thought of this, this is actually a brilliant idea! The song will seem slower and thus easier afterwards. Will give this a try, thanks!

I got the same idea as you, I've been playing DJ Hero 2 and switching back to the slower DJ Hero 1 to help with expert on there. It works even though the songs are completely different.
I do this every time I hit a wall on DJ Hero 1, go to DJ Hero 2 and play a few sets then switch back and feel like I've gotten better at DJ Hero 1.

Galvanize is one of the more difficult songs in the game. The Euphoria deck can be extremely helpful for the extreme crossfading sections. Youtuber Chrisdgaf13 has posted his run and it is available for you to view below.
