How to unlock the Tonight We DJ in Hell! achievement in DJ Hero - Definitive Guide

This achievement isn't as hard as it would seem, just do the 3rd song in the first set (sorry but the name escapes me), it should have 335 notes total, all of the scratches have an alternating pattern so they're not hard if you have the right tempo, if you're good at fading then after a few tries you should be able to fc it and get the achievement

Very easy song. Took me awhile to get the scratches though. Thanks!

Just finished it the same way- just be careful to scratch nice and slow on the directionals- it's easy to scratch too fast and miss one or two.

I just looked at this solution and got this after about 2 tries of figuring out the direction scratches (down, up, down):
Difficulty: Expert
Star Rating: 5/5
Score: 155864
Hits: 100%
Total Hits: 335/335
Longest Streak: 335
Highest Multiplier: 8
Average Multiplier: 3.83
Perfect sections hit: 3/3
Euphorias used: 0
Rewinds used: 2
Thanks for the tips :)

I found this method to be the easier of solutions. The Scratches really aren't too are as long as you start and stop on the correct direction and have good rhythm with it. Thanks for the help Chaoschao222!

This solution was very helpful.

Here's an extra tip though; if you ever find yourself overwhelmed by the crossfades, just press the Euphoria button if you have some. They will automatically do the crossfades for you!

It was a pain in the ass. Took many many tries, mainly I don’t think the scratching is 100% accurate. On my final attempt I was on the edge of missing a scratch, I saw the note slightly pass but I still hit. Getting an FC. About 335 note streak

Go slow on the scratch, rewinds and 8x multipliers are not necessary. Just focus on being perfect and you should eventually get it within 15-20 tries realistically.

Yeah this is much easier than trying it on the Tiesto track. And take Call Me Crash's advice - the scratches are done fairly slowly! I overdid them far too many times by scratching like a madman when it's really not necessary.

I also found this (Masta Ace - Born To Roll <=> Jean knight - Mr Big Stuff) was easier way to do this achievement than trying to hit the fast taps on that Tiësto/Benassi track. Scratches are slow as mentioned before but they are the parts you are most likely to fail. Good way to practice those parts is to use rewind right after failing and doing that part again. After failing at ~250 hits you might not want to start the track from the beginning just to fail again at the same part...

I unlocked the achievement just some just seconds ago. And besides Chaoschaos222 everbody who mentioned "scratch slowly" gets big cudos.

Im a good medium and not-perfect-hard player. So my problem were the directional scratches. And after about 20 tries i nearly resigned. But i gave it a chance with all these "slow scratch" posts. And i just can tell everybody, they are right. These scratches are damn slow.

And the most important part is to remember this during the whole song.

So thanks to everybody.

You can do this also in the mix: Benny Benassi / Tiésto - Satisfaction/Elements of Life. Ant the begging of this mix you don´t must do scrachtes. Only use the fader and the tap´s. Before it goes to the hard part of the mix you have a 330 streak.

Sorry for my bad english

yes, if you're good enough at the green rapid press around note 200, then you should be fine

Worked for me in this one, after a few tries at the greens that Chaoschao222 states in his comment

This did the trick - for the rapid green 5 in a row I realized I could easily reach over to steady the turntable with my fader hand and focus on just using my index finger to tap with the leverage that increases precision.

Learned that from any old game that requires button mashing. Good heads up!

I've just done this on the song you mentioned. I kept messing up on either the 1st Europhia or the mentioned Green bit.

Glad its over with now, though if i was to spend as much time playing the bit after it all goes madness on about 330 onwards I would have a pretty good score on that song :D

Thanks for the tip :)

Took me quite a few tries, once I got down the Euphoria phrases, it was only a matter of not screwing up in the end, where I feel it is the hardest. I tried the most popular guide before, but I had given up a long time ago and sat down and only tried this one the night I got the achievement.

I finally did it in "Scrarching the Surface", the song: MASTA ACE / JEAN KNIGHT. Born to Roll / Mr. Big Stuff

I just wanted to add a few things to the first guide:

The name of the mix is Masta Ace - Born to Roll mixed with Jean Knight - Mr. Big Stuff. I actually had more notes than 335 (which, I'm sorry, escapes me at this moment). When you get Rewinds, make sure you use them after scratching zones. Each scratch direction gives you a note. Also, if you wait until you have multiple scratch zones, do at least a 720. The further you spin the disc on a rewind, the more notes you'll pick up, which is why I had more than 335. If there's any questions, feel free to comment.

EDIT - I stand corrected on the Rewind part. I did test it out, and the commentors are correct.

I think your memory must be off. When using a rewind, your combo doesn't go up. So for this achievement, it's probably best not to use them at all. It's just more notes to hit.

No need to leave a negative vote if the first one is fine. Just vote that one as positive.

no rewinds required, I thought rewinds didn't raise your combo but I'm not sure, won't vote at all

To get a streak you must tap, scratch and do every crossfade move so you don't fail anything. (even over scratching or over tapping will reset your streak) I would recommend you did this trophy on the first mix but it doesn't have 300 notes. The first mix that has over 300 notes is "I found that the Masta Ace"/"Jean Knight", which has slightly over. (335 notes) You must do this on expert, in this song there are no spikes and there are directional scratches but they are not complicated and follow the rythm so simply observe how the scratch starts and when it finishes, the rest is rythm. If you can do this trophy you surely can go for hard trophies in this game.

This must be done in DJ and not in the guitar controller.

These achievements require practice. Choose a song that you play well on EXPERT and try it out.
