Play all the songs on all the difficulties you can within any button mode, pretty straight forward. Each rating will improve it and 40% isn't too bad.
Within the 4 Button mode I reached this completion stage and 100 S ranks around the same time, and my combo count was at around 500k. Player level around 80, just by playing freestlye full combos for reference
