This is a complete guide for all collectibles in the game, not just the Lost Souls. There are a total of 122 collectibles: 80 lost souls, 21 keys, and 21 secret doors. For those of you who also played the vanilla version of the game, I have good news and bad news. Bad news first: The collectibles are not all the same as the original version. Good news: there are no longer 4 different types of keys, they're just keys. 21 keys for 21 doors; any key opens any door.

Any collectible that has an asterisk (*) next to it cannot be obtained the first time you play the level in question because it requires a weapon or ability obtained later in the game.
As such, I actually recommend not trying to get any of the collectibles the first time you play the first 10 missions, especially if you plan on playing through on Son of Sparda after you beat the game the first time anyway. This will save you time replaying levels just for the collectibles, and since only one collectible must be obtained during combat, difficulty doesn't really matter for them. After mission 10 you have all of the weapons as well as angel boost. By the time you begin mission 11 you will want to purchase the upgrade "Enemy Step" under the abilities section of the upgrades, as it is the only other thing needed.

I also very strongly recommend grabbing the first key available (it's in plain sight in the first mission) and holding onto it until you start getting collectibles in mission 11. If you keep this one extra on you until that point, you will never reach a secret door and not have a key for it, which will also save you quite a bit of time not having to replay levels.

Before we get started let me just say that some areas in the game can be very ambiguous and I had a hard time explaining some places, so some descriptions may be a bit long-winded. If any are unclear and/or you have any suggestions please feel free to put them in the comments section, and I will add them and give credit where credit is due. Thank you in advance for using my guide and I hope it helps!

1st Lost Soul - Upon entering the main hall with the grand staircase, go up the stairs and to the right. Turn left at the top. The doorway here leads to a lost soul around the corner to the right.
1st Key - When exiting the area with the first lost soul, you will see this key across from you through the doorway at the other end of the walkway.
*2nd Lost Soul - When you go through the door at the top left corner of the main hall, you'll see a divinity statue. Just past it to the right you'll see a vine door you have to destroy with aquila (obtained upon completion of mission 10). You can probably destroy it with osiris (obtained later this mission), but it would be much easier to destroy with aquila.
*3rd Lost Soul- After obtaining Arbiter from the portrait of Sparda, finish the next battle and exit through the door. You'll see this lost soul, but as you approach it, it will get pulled away from you with a gap in the floor. You have to jump across this gap using the angel boost ability (obtained in mission 3).
*2nd Key - From the previous lost soul, drop down through the gap you just jumped over. Go down the next hallway and you'll see a pad you have to destroy using Eryx's slam ability (Eryx is obtained in mission 6). After destroying this pad you'll be dropped down a bit and the key will be next to you.
*4th Lost Soul - From the 2nd key, go through the next door to proceed and drop down into the next area. This area is accessible from the hall you begin in, so you can also do this when you first start the mission as long as you have the angelic lift ability. On your way back to the main hall you'll see a ledge above you on your left to angel pull up to. In the room this leads to on the left wall will be the lost soul.
5th Lost Soul - After finishing the battle in the main hall, you'll need to break through a door on the walkway on the right side with Arbiter. As soon as you do so, go through the door, turn around and look up.
*6th Lost Soul - Right after the previous lost soul, you'll see a vine door to destroy with osiris or aquila. Behind this door is the lost soul.
1st Secret Door - After the ophion demon pull "tutorial" section, you'll drop down into a room with an Eryx pad and this secret door.
*7th Lost Soul - Destroy the Eryx pad in the room with the first secret door of the mission, the lost soul will be found in the area below.
*8th Lost Soul - After the section where the hall is ripped apart and you're outside, you have to destroy a door with Arbiter to continue, then you'll pass a divinity statue. Around the next corner is a vine door to break with osiris and/or aquila. Behind that wall is the penultimate lost soul of this mission.
*9th Lost Soul - After you obtain Osiris and go back across the "outside" area you'll destroy another wall with Arbiter. After you do, there's an opening in the wall on your right. You have to angel boost across this gap to reach the other side. If you boost while you're too high in the air you won't go through the doorway, so only jump once, pause for a moment so you're not too high up, then boost across the gap and through the door. Once you do you can destroy the final lost soul of this mission.
*2nd Secret Door - This is in the same room as the last lost soul, where you have to boost across the gap.

Mission 3 - Bloodline

*1st Lost Soul - After the opening battle is over, stand with you back to the fountain facing the archway you're supposed to proceed through. Look up and to your left and you'll see a vine door to break with aquila. After destroying it with aquila, angel lift up to the room and the lost soul is on the wall within.
Key - Proceed through the archway and you'll hear Kat say "Dante, over here." There are 3 pathways, straight (the way to go for the mission), left and right. The key is at the end of the path on the right.
2nd Lost Soul - Go back to the point you were at when Kat said "Dante, over here" and instead go to the left, down the path where the divinity statue is. On your right will be a door you can break using Arbiter. Destroy it and go up the stairs beyond. Turn around and go up the other set of stairs and it will lead you to this lost soul.
3rd Lost Soul - When you proceed to the mission and the cutscene ends where Dante says "I'll have to find another way", you'll hear the lost soul. Turn around and look up and to your left, it'll be on the wall next to the archway there.
Secret Door - After the last lost soul, go back into the courtyard and finish the next battle. If this is your second playthrough of the mission, you can do this right now; if it's your first playthrough you'll have to wait until after you obtain the angel boost ability after the next segment of this mission. Use angel lift to pull up to the ledge after the battle in the courtyard. Afterwards turn around and face outward over the ledge you just came onto and look to the left. You'll see a platform over there. Jump once and angel boost to land on top of it (if you jump twice you can go too far and fall beyond the end of the platform). After landing, the door will be to your left. If it is indeed your second playthrough of the mission, after this door you can go to the end part of this mission and boost across the gap to end it, you don't have to go through the rest of the mission as you do the first playthrough.

Mission 4 - Under Watch

1st Lost Soul - After the first battle and Dante tells the eye/camera that he's gonna get up there and rip it apart, turn around and go down the walkway on the other side of the pillars on your left. You'll see the lost soul there.
2nd Lost Soul - Right after the previous lost soul you'll angel lift up to a platform, then jump over to a second platform. Go to the edge of this one and you'll hear the lost soul. Look up and to your left and you'll see it on the corner of the building.
3rd Lost Soul - After you destroy the first eye/camera, proceed a bit and you'll see a cutscene. After that you're supposed to descent some stairs. Instead, turn around and go up the stairs on the other side, where you'll find a vital star and hear the lost soul. At the top of the stairs turn around and you'll see it. Double jump over to it from the top of the stairs to destroy it.
*1st Key - Descend the stairs mentioned for the previous lost soul and at the bottom look to your right. Go down this walkway and a wall that needs to be destroyed using Eryx will move up to you. Destroy it, go to the end and turn right, and you'll see the key.
2nd Key - After the next battle (in the area with the divinity statue and the broken fountain) stand by the fountain facing away from the divinity statue and look up. You'll see an angel lift point on top of a building. You'll have to double jump and use angel lift in mid-air to pull yourself up. I had trouble getting up there the second time I tried and found that it helps immensely to run toward the wall and hold LS forward during the double jump/angel lift sequence. Go forward and through a door into a building and back out into an area with a bunch of windows. The key will be in an alcove around the corner to the right.
4th Lost Soul - From the same building you angel lift onto to get to the 2nd Key, stand on the corner of this building and you'll see the lost soul in front of you. Jump once, angel boost over, and aerial rave it to pieces.
1st Secret Door - After the first battle in the area that has two demon eye cameras, go down the right path and angel lift up to a platform. Jump across to the platform on the other side, and around the corner you'll find a vine wall to destroy with osiris/aquila. In the room behind it you'll find this secret door.
5th Lost Soul - From the spot where you destroy the first demon eye camera in this area, turn and look to your left and up a bit, and you'll see this lost soul. Either a well timed double jump or an angel boost will get you over to it.
2nd Secret Door - After you drop down from the previous lost soul, go across the area a bit to activate a small cutscene with Kat, or it will interrupt your jump for this collectible. After that, go back up to the previous spot where you destroyed the demon eye camera and face the secret door in the distance. you'll have to achieve almost maximum distance, so jump toward the door, pause for a moment, double jump, pause again, then angel boost. Keep holding LT until you see the angel lift point light up and quickly press X to pull yourself up to the secret door.
6th Lost Soul - After the next cutscene with Kat and Dante talking, you use ophion demon pull to pull out a few platforms from the walls. While on the platform on the right, turn around and look at the wall behind you. This lost soul will be up there. It takes a double jump and angel boost to get to and may take a couple tries to land the number of hits needed.
7th Lost Soul - When you arrive on top of the next building, you'll see a door to destroy using Arbiter. Behind that door on the left wall will be this lost soul.
8th Lost Soul - From the previous lost soul, exit the room and turn left. Walk forward and you'll drop down one level. Walk up to the edge of the crumbling wall on your left and pan the camera around to your left. You'll see the last lost soul of the level mounted on a wall in that direction. To get to him, walk as close to the edge as possible, double jump over the corner of the crumbling wall, and use angel boost to land on top of the building on the other side.

Mission 5 - Virility

1st Lost Soul - In the beginning of the area, the path splits; you can either go left or right. Go to the left. Go straight on this path and do a demon pull to reveal an angel lift point. Following a series of two angel lifts and three demon pulls to align three platforms to ascend, you'll arrive on a platform. After the fight here, turn to face the direction you came from. You'll see an angel lift point in the distance. You'll have to double jump and angel boost to reach it. From that platform, turn to your left and jump over to the platform you see there. Now, use the angel pull point up and to your left. On the next platform, the lost soul will be above you on your right.
1st Key - After you finish ascending the opening area, you'll come to a spot where you have to use demon pull to open a storage crate and immediately angel boost into it to avoid falling down. After the battle in the following area, you'll see the key on the other side of a chain-link fence on the right side of the area. Facing this fence, go a bit to the right and double jump onto some boxes there. Follow the small path here around and drop down to get to the key.
2nd Lost Soul - On the opposite side of the same area, you'll see an angel lift point a bit in the distance. Again, you'll have to double jump and angel boost to be able to reach it. Following that and another mid-air angel lift, you'll land right next to this lost soul.
1st Secret Door - Proceed onward now, and you'll come to an area with a divinity statue. Just to the right of the statue you'll see some crates you can jump onto. On the top of those, turn around, double jump, and angel boost over to the other crates you see. Climb up the next couple of crates and you'll be able to see the secret door on a ledge a bit to your left. Single jump and angel boost on over to it.
3rd Lost Soul - Traverse the next area and after the next battle, you'll see "Mixing Room" on the wall with an arrow pointing toward a doorway. Don't go that way yet. Standing here, you should hear the lost soul; he's almost directly above you. Facing that doorway, turn around and follow the wall around to your right. You'll see some boxes and broken stairway that you can use to go up to the next level. Go up there and follow that walkway around the corner to the left where you'll find the lost soul.
*2nd Key - From the same walkway the 3rd lost soul is on, go back around the corner the way you came from and you'll see a vine door to break down using aquila. Break it down, angel lift up to that storage crate, and use the boost pads to reach a new platform. From the direction you're facing on this platform, there's a vital star to your left. Turn to your right and you'll see a platform to angel lift up to with the key on it.
*4th Lost Soul - Again from the same walkway that the 3rd lost Soul is on, go over to the opposite side (facing the open area it's the left side). From here, you can do a series of 4 angel lifts that will bring you to a storage crate you will slide down. Nearby where you land there will be a door you can break down using Eryx, the lost soul is in the room behind that door on the left wall.
**5th Lost Soul - **This one can be obtained on the first playthrough but it's in the same general area as the 4th one so I recommend waiting and doing both of them on the second playthrough.** From the position of the previous lost soul, after leaving the room you will see an angel lift point a bit off to your right. Pull yourself up to that platform, then jump and angel boost over to the next platform you see. You'll now see another angel lift point. Use it and immediately use angel boost. If it looks like you're going to fall a bit short on the glide you can "dodge" forward at the end of the glide for a bit of extra distance. This lost soul will be against the back wall on this platform. You're now done with this area and can proceed with the mission for now.
6th Lost Soul - Proceeding on with the mission, the next time you reach a split in the path, you can either go straight or turn right. Don't bother going straight, there is nothing that way. Instead, turn to your right and at the end of the hallway you'll see a vine door to destroy with osiris/aquila. Go all the way down the hall, destroy the vine wall, and the last lost soul of the mission is in this room.
2nd Secret Door - Again, proceeding on with the mission you'll reach a point where "KILL DANTE" appears on the floor and an enemy spawns. Directly to the left of where the words appeared is a door you can destroy using Arbiter. After disposing of the enemy, destroy the door and you'll find the secret door around the corner to the right beyond it.

Mission 6 - Secret Ingredient

Mission 7 - Overturn

1st Lost Soul - After you reach the cutscene where it shows "Central Penitentiary", keep going until you reach the next door that must be broken with Eryx. Before breaking that down, look to your left. You'll see the lost soul across a gap; do a double jump and angel boost to reach it.
*2nd Lost Soul - Continue on until you've used two of the angel pull boost pads. Not really sure what they're called, but they're angel pull points that when you reach them a green circle spreads out and you press jump to boost off of them. When you land, look to your right and you'll see two giant TVs and some flames coming from the ceiling, also visible will be a vine door you must destroy using aquila. After destroying it, angel pull up to it and turn right to find this lost soul.
1st Secret Door - From the same point described in the "2nd Lost Soul" description, proceed a bit and you'll see two storage crates, one that must be pulled out using demon pull. Pull that crate out and jump to it. Before breaking down the Eryx wall, turn around. You'll see the secret door behind a chain link fence. A bit to the right of that you'll see a platform that you must double jump and angel boost to in order to get to the door.
3rd Lost Soul - Go back to the storage crate you were just on and destroy the other one with Eryx. Walk through the storage crate and drop down onto the walkway in front of you. Stop here and look to your left and up. Double jump (going for maximum height) and angel boost to reach the ledge in front of the lost soul.
1st Key - After you reach the catwalk where the divinity statue is, stand by the statue, facing away from it. You'll see an angel lift point off in the distance. Double jump, angel boost, then angel pull to reach that platform. Turn to your right and you'll see the key inside a room at the end of this catwalk.
4th Lost Soul - Past the aforementioned divinity statue, there will be a battle in the next room. After that keep going, and there will be another battle in the room after that. From this room you'll hear this lost soul. Jump through the upside down archway and the camera will automatically pan to the direction you need to go. Turn the camera 180 degrees to see the lost soul perched up on the wall.
5th Lost Soul - Keep going until you reach the area with a catwalk going out and you can either go left or right. Go to the left (There's nothing to the right) and ascend the structure. After you have performed your second angelic pull while ascending the structure, turn around to see a platform behind you. Double jump and angel boost over to it. Follow this pathway around, angel boosting over two more gaps in the process, to reach a lost soul at the end.
6th Lost Soul - Now proceed the way you are intended to, and you'll enter into a cage with an Eryx pad on it and Dante will say "Going down"; slam the pad with Eryx and proceed into the next room. Before breaking the next Eryx pad, look to your left to find the next lost soul.
2nd Secret Door - In the room with the 6th lost soul, now break the Eryx pad and finish the battle you encounter down below. In the corner of this area is the other secret door of this mission.
7th Lost Soul - In the area with the 2nd secret door, you will use angel lift to get up to the next ledge to proceed. When you do, turn around and you'll see this lost soul across from you. Double jump and angel boost to reach it.
8th Lost Soul - After the 7th lost soul, go back to the ledge you angel pulled up to and you'll see a divinity statue. When you reach it, turn to your right and you'll see the last lost soul of this mission right in front of you.
2nd Key - After the last lost soul and divinity statue, you'll jump out onto a bridge/catwalk. You're supposed to go to the left, instead take a minor detour to the right for the last collectible of this mission.

Mission 8 - Eyeless

*Secret Door - After you destroy the first Eryx wall of this mission, go through it and look directly to your right. You'll see a vine wall you have to destroy with aquila. Once you do, you'll want to be careful during the jump across. Jump, pause slightly, double jump, pause slightly, then angel boost through the doorway. This will ensure you go far enough and also you aren't too high up to make it through. Once you land, turn to your right and you'll see the secret door down the hall and to the left.
1st Lost Soul - Go back to the point after you destroyed the first Eryx wall, and you'll see another Eryx wall directly in front of you. Destroy it to find a lost soul hangin out behind it.
2nd Lost Soul - After the train goes by and you step down onto the tracks, turn to the left, and you'll see this lost soul on the wall on the left.
Key - After you finish the battle in which the train is going by overhead, to one side you will see the key on the other side of some bars. Turn to your left and jump up onto the tracks in that direction. Up here on your right will be a spot you can go through, and this path will lead to a vine wall to destroy using Osiris and/or Aquila. Destroy it and go down the hall to obtain the key.
3rd Lost Soul - When you reach the divinity statue, take about 10 steps down the hall and you'll see gated areas you can jump through on either side of you. The lost soul will be in the alcove up on your right.
2nd Secret Door - Standing at the same spot described for the 3rd lost soul, the gated area on your left will lead to an Arbiter wall. Destroy it and the secret door is on the other side.
4th Lost Soul - After you retrieve Phineas's eye and finish the battle with all the harpies, there will be 3 angel lift points you can pull up to. One sign is green and says "Way Out" (That's the way out...). Facing that one, turn to the right and pull up to the next angel lift point you see (above a yellow sign that says Platform 1), and this lost soul will be at the end of that hallway. Some of those spinning wheel things that you have to shoot spawned down here, but that was on Son of Sparda difficulty, not sure if they spawn on the easier difficulties. Just a heads up.
5th Lost Soul - Now drop back down and pull up to the angel lift point above the other yellow sign that says Platform 2. Same thing: lost soul is at the end on the right, and spinning wheel things spawned.

Mission 9 - Devil Inside

Mission 10 - Bad News

***From here on out all collectibles can be obtained the first playthrough, since you now have all weapons needed, although you will need to purchase the upgrade enemy step at some point from the shop for a collectible in the next mission (mission 11)***

Mission 11 - The Order

1st Lost Soul - When you reach the first divinity statue of this mission, you will need to use Eryx's slam ability to break through the floor, then Aquila or Osiris to break down a wall of vines. DO NOT drop down into the next room yet. Use aquila to break down the vines across from you, then angel boost across the gap to reach the other side where this lost soul is.
2nd Lost Soul - After the swat team breaks down the second door (the one that displays "Bitch is near" momentarily), the next room you enter into will have this lost soul on the wall on your left-hand side.
3rd Lost Soul - When you reach a T and can either go to the left or go to the right (I will refer to this spot as point A later) turn to your right. You will see a door with a red light above it. Go to that door and turn right. Go through this doorway, and this lost soul will be behind and slightly above you on the wall.
4th Lost Soul - From the previous lost soul, go back through the doorway you just came through and turn left. You'll see a doorway on your right with a green light above it, go through this doorway next. Now you will see another doorway ahead of you, also with a green light above it. Just before reaching this doorway look to your right, you will see an alcove. This lost soul is in this alcove around the corner.
Key - From the last lost soul continue through the next door with the green light above it. You will now turn to your left and see a statue against the wall ahead of you. Turn right at this statue and go straight into very-easy-to-miss alcove. In this alcove turn right and this will lead you to the key. P.S. After obtaining the key a ravager will spawn on the other side of the wall from you, you will be able to see him on the other side of the window.
5th Lost Soul - You will now want to go back to point A (the beginning of this area) and go to the left instead of the right. Following this path, you will see a door on the left to break with Arbiter. Go through this door, turn right and this lost soul is up on the wall in front of you.
Secret Door - From the previous lost soul you will see another door next to you to break with Arbiter. After you do so, break the next door you see with Eryx. You will reach a spot where you can turn left or go straight. Turn to the left, and you will find the secret door in the back left corner of the room beyond.
6th Lost Soul - From the previous point where you could turn left or go straight, now to straight to the divinity statue and turn left. Hang another quick left and go up the stairs and you'll see this one up on the wall to your left. If you haven't already gotten it, you will now need to go back to the divinity statue and purchase the "Enemy Step" upgrade under the general abilities tab for Dante. It is needed for the final collectible in this mission.
7th Lost Soul - This one is somewhat tricky. When the swat team blasts down the next door to continue with the mission, you will see a butcher down the hall in the next room beyond some stygians. Do not kill any of them yet. You'll need to act quickly so the butcher doesn't kill all of the stygians. Look above where the butcher is and you'll see this lost soul up on the wall way above him. You'll need to go up to that wall and use ophion demon pull to bring one of the stygians over. Now, double jump into the air and use demon pull again to bring the stygian up to you. With the enemy step ability purchased you'll be able to jump off of the stygian and repeat until you're high enough in the air to destroy the lost soul.

Mission 12 - Under Siege

Mission 13 - Devil's Dalliance

1st Lost Soul - After you finish the first couple of fights, you will see a ramp leading up in front of you. Turn around and double jump up the ledge on either side of the wall that was behind you. Against the back wall here you will see a lost soul above a door.
1st Secret Door - Standing where the 1st lost soul was, look off to your left. You'll see the door on a platform in the distance. To get to it, jump and angel boost onto the broken platform with a pillar on it, then angelic lift yourself up to the platform with the door on it. (Probably the hardest of the secret missions, you might want to come back to this one after you have upgraded your health and/or devil trigger some more. I've never used an item in a secret mission before so I'm not sure if you can or not, but you can also try using a devil trigger star.)
2nd Lost Soul - Go back down to the platform you began on (It's a long gap to traverse, make sure to pause slightly in between each jump and the angel boost for maximum distance). Underneath the ramp next to the divinity statue is the next lost soul.
Key - After round 2 (the round where you have to kill all enemies before time expires), you will have two paths to choose from: straight (lower level) or up the stairs on your left. Take the stairs. When you reach the first gap on this walkway you can see the key in the distance above the floating blocks. To reach it, go across the floating blocks in front of you. You will see one that has a red one lower than it and to the right. When you're on that block, look down in front of that block and you'll see a pressure pad to activate with Eryx. This will spawn a new set of blocks to traverse. Follow to the end of that path, look up and to your left and you'll see an angel lift point to raise you up to the platform with the key on it.
3rd Lost Soul - One of the rounds of the Devil Has Talent is to kill a wave or Rage Spawns. (The little rat fellows). After this battle, before proceeding, turn around and look on the wall. The lost soul is to the left of the doorway you came through.
4th Lost Soul - In the same spot, you will activate one pressure pads with Eryx to proceed. This will create two paths. Walk onto the one on the right and look a bit up and to your right. You will see a platform that you have to angel boost and angel lift combo to get to. Follow this path to take you to platform with two walls on it, one of which this lost soul is on.
2nd Secret Door - After the fight with Drekavac, you will come to a new platform that has a divinity statue on it. Facing the divinity statue, turn to the left and move forward. You'll see a ledge to drop down to where the secret door is.
5th Lost Soul - On the platform with the divinity statue, stand with the statue directly behind you. You will see a platform with an angel lift point on it up and a bit to the right. Angel boost and angel lift combo up to it, then turn around and angel lift up to the next platform above you. You'll see one more platform ahead of you that you have to angel boost and then angel lift to get to. When you land on this platform, you'll see this lost soul in front of you.
6th Lost Soul - Continuing on from the divinity statue, the next platform you arrive on has a lost soul on the wall in the corner.

Mission 14 - Last Dance

1st Lost Soul - After you enter the building before you enter the elevator, look to your right. You'll see a door to break down with Arbiter. Behind this door, follow the stairwell to the bottom and you'll find this lost soul.
2nd Lost Soul - When you get off of the first elevator, an arrow will point you to the right. Follow this hallway all the way to the end. Just before the end, another arrow will point you to the left, but keep going straight a bit and you'll see the next lost soul on the wall at the end of the hall.
3rd Lost Soul - On floor 87, you will fight a dream runner, then angel lift to a ledge up above to floor 88. DON'T go in the elevator yet. You'll see a wall on your right-hand side to destroy with Eryx. In the room behind it you'll find a lost soul in the top right corner.
Key - After the previous lost soul, still don't go in the elevator yet. Upon exiting the room with that lost soul, turn right and go around the corner to the left. You'll see a hallway with flying boxes in the way. Wait for the boxes to stop for a moment, jump through, and look to your right. You'll see a doorway leading to a small room with the key in it... Okay now you can go in the elevator.
4th Lost Soul - At the end of floor 105 you'll jump on top of a roofed cubicle area and angel lift up to floor 106. The screen will gray out and point through a doorway. Follow the ledge to the right of the doorway to a lost soul up on the wall.
1st Secret Door - After you pass the elevators on floor 106 you'll see an angel lift point in front of you. Don't use it yet. Look to your right and you'll see a hallway with a devil trigger star past a gap. Jump over the cap, collect the star if you so desire, and turn to your left. This will lead to another stairwell, which will take you down a few flights to the 1st secret door of this mission.
5th Lost Soul - Also in the same stairwell as the secret door, except at the very top instead, is the next lost soul.
6th Lost Soul - Go back to the angel lift point mentioned before you went down the hall with the devil trigger star. Instead of traversing the angel lift points as intended, purposely fall down to the area below. After the ensuing battle, you will find a vine door in this area to destroy with osiris/aquila. Destroy it and in the room beyond will be the next lost soul.
7th Lost Soul - After you pass the laser obstacle course area, another arrow will point to the right. Once again, ignore it's suggestion for now and instead go to the left and you'll find another lost soul on the wall on your right-hand side.
8th Lost Soul - After you acquire Kablooey on the elevator with Vergil, you'll be going down another curved hallway on the way to a skybridge. Instead of turning right where prompted, go all the way to the end of the hallway for this lost soul.
9th Lost Soul - When you arrive in the next area after goin across the crumbling skybridge, you'll see the last lost soul of this mission through a window to your right. Break down the vine wall around the corner to get to it. After doing this, don't get on the elevator yet!
2nd Secret Door - After exiting the room with the last lost soul, turn right and go around the corner to the left for this mission's last collectible.

Mission 17 - Furnace of Souls

1st Lost Soul - At the very beginning of the level, there are two separate paths you can take for the first segment of the mission. Take the right path. This will lead you to a platform where you fight your first enemies of the level. Immediately after killing them, face the direction you're supposed to go and then look to your left. You'll see a point against a wall in the distance where you can do an ophion demon pull on it. Wait for the next set of flames to stop and angel boost across the gap, perform the demon pull, then immediately after be ready to do a angel lift to pull up to the ledge that is now there. When you land on this platform, there will be a lost soul on the wall ahead of you.
2nd Lost Soul - After the previous lost soul, look to the left of the wall it was on. You'll see a small round platform that gets pushed up by the flames. After this platform, jump across to the platform that is now in front of you with the crumbling wall on it. You're now on a platform you would be on had you taken the left path from the beginning. The next lost soul is on the other side of the crumbling wall, go around the right side of it to get to it.
3rd Lost Soul - Continue onward and you'll reach a point where you have to do a triple angel pull to get to a large platform with the first main battle of the mission. After the battle, the way to continue with the mission is through the archway to the left of the wall on the platform. Don't go through it yet and in stead go to the right of it, following along the wall. This will lead you down a path with the wall on your left and the flames on your right, and this lost soul will be at the end of the path on a wall.
Key - After the previous lost soul, go back to the archway to continue on and after a few jumps, demon pulls and an angel lift you'll arrive on a new platform. To your left will be the correct way to go, and to your right will be another angel lift point. Use this angel lift followed by a angel boost to land on the other side of the gap, then angel lift to the ledge above. Use osiris or aquila to break down the vine wall in front of you and you'll see the key.
4th Lost Soul - Continue onward, and after doing a series of demon pulls and angel lifts in mid-air you'll be on a platform where you fight two stygians. On this platform, face the crumbling wall. This lost soul will be far enough up the wall that you have to do a double jump to get high enough to destroy it.
Secret Door - Still facing the wall the 4th lost soul was on, look to your left. You'll see a red glimmering point to do a demon pull. Do so, and jump to the new platform that comes out. Upon landing, look to your right and down and you'll see the secret door. Jump and angel boost to cross the first gap, then again to land in front of the door.
5th Lost Soul - After the next large platform and main battle where you face a tyrant, you'll do a series of 4 angel lifts to reach the next platform. On that platform, go around the corner of the crystalline object on your right to find the last collectible of this mission hiding there.

Mission 18 - Demon's Den

Facing the vault door, I'm going to treat the door itself as being "North" on a compass. The four passages therefore will be referred to herein as "Northeast", "Southeast", "Southwest", and "Northwest".
There is also a small passage directly "South" that contains no collectibles but does have star item (I grabbed it on my first playthrough and I'm writing this on my Son of Sparda playthrough so I can't remember if it's a vital or devil trigger star).
You can do the passages in any order.

"Northeast" Passage:
If the collectibles in this level are the last you need to get you'll want to do this passage before the "Northwest" passage because the key is down the northeast passage and the secret door is down the northwest passage.
Key - When you reach the first gap in the floor down this passage, don't jump across. Instead go as far left as you can and look directly down below you. You'll see a ledge you can drop down to. If you just walk off you land pretty close to the edge of the ledge below you and it's probably possible to fall off by doing so, so for good measure you can walk off and angel boost before hitting the ground to make sure you land safe and sound. Follow this pathway (have your shotgun equipped) and you'll see the key on the ledge here.

"Southeast" Passage:
Lost Soul - When you reach the generator room down this passage, look up and to your left and you'll see the lost soul. Go to the left and up to the edge of the gap. From here look up and to your right, there's a ledge there you can jump up to. From there, you can double jump over to the ledge in front of the lost soul.

"Southwest" Passage:
Lost Soul - When you reach the end of the first path you'll be at a ledge. Looking down, you'll see a platform you're supposed to angel boost to. Instead, walk up to the edge on the right side and look around the corner to the right. A bit above you will be the lost soul. Double jump (be sure to achieve maximum height on each jump) and angel boost toward the lost soul to land on the ledge there and destroy him.

"Northwest" Passage:
After the first section of the path you'll reach a large area with an "S" shaped pathway leading through it. Both collectibles down this pathway are in this area.
Lost Soul - Follow the pathway along the edge to your right. When you the end of it, if you look to your left you'll see the secret door. Hold off on that for a minute. Instead, look back to your right and down below you. You'll see the lost soul on a ledge down there. To reach it you have to angel boost from this position up above.
Secret Door - From the lost soul, look over toward the doorway to the generator room. If you look carefully, under the main walkway there is a small ledge to angel boost over to. From there you can jump back up onto the main walkway and go up the incline to the secret door.
