Once you enter Manred Gayles home, head upstairs and take a right st the top. There is a short passageway here, enter it and the environment will change. Head through the doorway and into the next room. Pick up every pot you can find, then drop them from your inventory by pressing the 
button and they will smash. The large white pots don't smash, but the others do. There is one in the passageway before you enter. So make sure to smash that too.
