Once you're inside Lucia Minor (after unlocking Welcome to the world of tomorrow
), you will have five minutes to solve a puzzle. I've written this entry under the assumption that the timer starts when the level does, but it may start when you actually get to the puzzle. I've replicated the steps from my walkthrough below, or you can use THIS VIDEO by YouTuber Dirvinator.
Sonic your way through two doors
Ignore the right door and follow the left path
Pick up the journal entry on the crate next to the red-barred door (14/41)
Sonic the left door
I'm going to call this “main room”. You need to do the following puzzle within five minutes, but I'm not sure exactly when the timer starts, or if it started at the beginning of the level. Pausing will stop the clock, so you should be able to get this pretty easily.
Pick up the mirror, then press the button
Exit right
Pick up the mirror in this room, and replace it with the mirror from the main room
Press the button
Go back into the main room
Put the mirror in the empty slot left of the button on the pedestal (the laser will hit it)
Pick up the mirror on the wall between the two laser beams
Click the button x2
Exit left into the red room
Click the pedestal button
Click the levers so the openings are facing away from you. Assuming you only move the levers right: top x3 / middle x5 / bottom x3, then back out
Go back into the main room
Put the mirror in the empty slot right of the button on the pedestal (the laser will hit it)
Pick up the mirror on the wall between the two laser beams
Put this mirror on the remaining empty spot on the pillar
Click the button x3 - The Big Brain
unlocked
If it didn't unlock, quit to the main menu and continue. You'll start from the beginning of the chapter and can try again.
