my method for idle boosting:
-private match (local)
-2 controllers
-play "save the safe" on the map "arena"
-make the left stick of player one to face to the right with rubberband
that`s it. the game will start automatically. the method is faster with two turbo controllers pressing A.
now you can go to work, lunch or to your girl (or boy^^)
takes about 24 hours to reach the mark of 4 million.

You need 4,000,000 for this achievement. My set up was nukes only, Xbox live, private game, plug in a local controller, hit and run mode, crossroads, 9000 and just run to the opponent and keep throwing nukes. Every match should take alittle less than a minute. Rinse and repeat, ALOT. Add speed for perk.




k4rn4ge also suggested Skyscraper map might be a quicker method instead of crossroads.

Not really a solution, but a warning:

Always back out to the menu before quitting the game. Do not turn off your console while in the shop!

My TV died while I was in the shop, so I just turned my XBox off. This reset my level progress and I had to start over (I was at about the Capo level).

There are 2 methods I know in which you can use to help boost towards this achievement. One of them requires you to play the game. The other requires you to sit idle. Obviously playing the game will take less time to get this achievement compared to standing idle. However I recommend you use both of them to prevent the game giving you boredom.

Here are the methods I have used for the game. You will need at least 1 additonal controller to help you do either of these methods. May I also take this opportunity to credit my brother RegionalRagger for making me play the game.

Method 1: Playing The Game

I actually found a method in getting this achievement much quicker by mistake. If you have a 2nd controller, you get the matches done in a short period of time. But should manage to use 3 or 4 controllers, the speed of each match will be much faster. This is the method though that will require your full attention to play the game. Here's how I did it.

From the Main Menu choose "Play!". Then choose "Create Game". I recommend a Private Game as this setting does not matter towards the achievement. Obviously you will want to choose "Hit 'N Run".

Now you will need to sign in a second controller by pressing on the controller and signing it in as a "Guest". If you have extra controllers, sign them in as well and sign them in as "Guest". Your main controller needs to then press to change the Map...

The Map I recommend is "Skyscraper"
Number Of Bots: 0
Bot Difficulty: Doesn't Matter
Set Goal: 9000
Custom Weapon Set - IMPORTANT - I want you to turn everything off except for the Fire Trap that's in the middle section. It's the Yellow Fuel Tank with the flame on it.

Once you have done this press the button to exit area and press on both your controllers.

When the match is loaded, all you have to do is grab one of these Fire Traps and stand on top your idle players that will be standing around part of the arena, then press the button to burn your opponent. Each time they fall over which will be a quick flash, it will give you $500. I've also noticed with additional controllers (more than 2) that on occasions I got a bonus of $1000. The Fire Trap will spawn nearby where your cooking your opponents. Rinse and repeat the method and then you will complete the match in less than a minute.

When the match is complete, you will see your character dancing around and you'll be awarded $9000 and anything you have unlocked as prizes. You should then have the option to return to the Lobby by pressing . When your back at the Lobby press on all your controllers to startup another match.

The amount of time needed for each of these matches depends upon how many controllers you have got in the game with your main profile that wants the achievement.

Estimated Time For Match Completion With 1 Additional Controller: Around 40 Seconds
Estimated Time For Match Completion With 2 Additional Controllers: Around 30 Seconds
Estimated Time For Match Completion With 3 Additional Controllers: Less Than 20 Seconds

Method 2: Idle

This method will take longer to gain the money compared to the first step, but if you prefer to sit Idle for money, rather than play the game this is a nice idea to use. Or if you want to use this method to take a break from actually playing the game, but still get some cash in your pocket.

From the Main Menu choose "Play!". Then choose "Create Game". I recommend a Private Game as this setting does not matter towards the achievement. You will need to choose the game mode "Save The Safe".

Now you will need to sign in a second controller by pressing on the controller and signing it in as a "Guest". Extra controllers for this game mode are not required for this game mode. Once you've done, that your main controller needs to then press to change the Map...

The Map I recommend is "Marina", but you can use "Skyscraper" as an alternative
Number Of Bots: 0
Bot Difficulty: Doesn't Matter
Set Goal: 9000
Custom Weapon Set: Doesn't Matter

Once you have done this press the button to exit area and press on both your controllers.

When the match has loaded there will be a Safe that will be around the middle of the map. All that needs doing is your main account to run along and grab it. Then you just need to keep still and hold onto this Safe throughout the entire duration of the match. Don't fall off-course or let your 2nd controller steal it off you. Your 2nd controller doesn't actually have to move at all.

When the match is complete, you will see your character dancing around and you'll be awarded $9000 and anything you have unlocked as prizes. You should then have the option to return to the Lobby by pressing . When your back at the Lobby press on all your controllers to startup another match.

Estimated Time For Match Completion By Standing Idle: 3 Minutes 30 Seconds

If you own 2x Turbo Controllers, you can actually use this method instead of playingthrough to gain money, as you can just let one player pick-up the Safe and then let the controllers press whenever desired.

You can also use this method if you want to work on something around the house, whilst nearby your console with the game playing away.

Outcome

The downside with this game is unless you wait for the clock to time out in the Lobbies, you have to keep on returning to your console and pressing on your controllers to load up matches.

Depending upon which method you decide to work on to get the achievement, it will take around about 450+ Matches to reach $4,000,000, earning you the achievement. This is around 15 - 25+ Hours worth of boosting in the game modes.

You can check your progress by returning to the Main Menu of the game and looking at the bottom left side of the screen. The Yellow Star shows you the total amount of money you've earned throughout your entire game from start to finish. Whereas the Wage will show you how much money you've got right now. Be advised that returning to the Main Menu will require you to re-host the lobby with all of the same settings you applied to in the past.

Final Pointer

One last important note is that the achievements will unlock for you as soon as you meet the amount of money required for each promotion. But in order to keep the money, you must return to the Main Menu and let the game store it. If you turn off your console, exit to the dashboard or if the game freezes without you returning to the Main Menu, you will lose all the money you have earned and you will have to redo the whole process again to get it back.

Hope all of this helps and good luck with this grind. It's not difficult and it is boring, but not as boring as some other games that exist today that require grinding.
