Teleport to Wastelands | Ore Plant: turn left and head down the hallway, take a right at the bend, and find the exit to the outer area on your left between two vehicles. Approach for the door to open.
You can either shoot the massive laser-spitting worms atop the buildings (they're weak to acid but you must hit them in the "mouth" while they are NOT shooting) or just avoid getting hit by their lasers. Other enemies are along this path; deal with them as you see fit (killing or running away).
From the doorway head to your left; you can hug the wall to remain under cover of the elevated building (it has two large, corrugated pipes running to the upper floor) but a fairly persistent drone under here should be killed. At the far side of the building, take the elevator to the upper floor; you'll have to contend with two fireball-spewing enemies.
From the elevator, head to your left and, at the corpse, turn right with two silos to your left and the end of the building on your right. Move to the end where another seated body is and turn to your right. On the far side, just before another slumped body, you'll find a dirt path to your left; take it. The path rises, curves a bit, and seems narrow, but remain on it and at the end you'll find a large, circular doorway. Select A to Interact and you'll be in the Vahani Excavation.
