How to unlock the Bandit achievement in Donut County - Definitive Guide

In the biolab, once you acquire the snake follow this combination with the buttons on the wall:- up, left, down, left and grab. Only hit each button once or the pattern will break.

If you successfully do this you will encounter a cutscene showing you the vault door opening, once you have finished the cutscene complete the biolab level.

After you have completed the level, go to the end of the corridor, go under the door, past the rabbit with the key and go under the other door. You will see the vault door that opened in the cutscene, go inside and the achievement will pop.

1. If your struggling with the sensitivity you can turn your controller sensitivity down in the settings.
2. If your struggling with the pattern working, try starting in the bottom right of the grid.

As I stated from my experience. Being in the bottom right corner was not necessary. It's just buggy as fck. Worth a try though.

The snake is probably pressing the button twice for you, you have to press the buttons and back away quickly.

Not sure why but first time it didn't work even though I made no mistakes but the second time it worked. There was no need to be in the bottom right corner for me.

This one must be a bit glitchy. Tried about a dozen times without getting the cut scene, and I know at least a few of the tries were error free. I'll go back with chapter select and try again later. UPDATE: Got it on chapter select after three tries. Those push buttons must be very sensitive.

You don't have to restart the level if you fail the code, I was practising my timings and it popped for me on about my 4th or 5th attempt

Thanks for this, as a tip when snaking the buttons, I went very slow so the snake tail didn't wiggle and hit the button twice.

Doesn't work. I've tried this multiple times both not doing anything and starting in the bottom right. My guess is this is just super buggy.

move the magnet to the lower right corner then after that make sure you only press the button onces so move slowly and press up, left, down, left and grab

Can confirm the comments above - I failed a few times but once I read about moving away from the button as soon as I saw it was pressed - got it first time.

I was able to do it after a few tries I found that going really slow into the buttons help, also I didn’t have to start in the bottom right I just did up left down left grab and it worked

If you’re having trouble with this one I found turning your controllers sensitivity right down on the in game menu made it a lot easy, after I did this I got it on the first try.

If you get a double tap, press grab once and then go at the sequence again. It seem to reset, position doesn’t matter. I had reset level several times when I out of frustration tried this and it worked...

Should be noted that the grabber has to be at the bottom right hand corner for this to work. After placement hit grab to reset the pattern.

Wrong, no need to start at the bottom right corner. I messed it up because those initial controls are bad for this... The magnet was in the left row and i just did the pattern from there - door unlocked without a problem.

Just want to mention you HAVE to start from the bottom right, when at the bottom right panel, do up left down left, a cutscene will now start, follow the rest

You surely have to follow the last step here and enter the vault door. Once I did, it popped.
Took me three tries to get the initial cutscene. After my first try I selected "Restart level" and tried again with no luck. Thanks to GordonDogKing, next I Quit and restarted from the title screen, and this time I got the cutscene! (So it might have to be done after coming from new level from title screen?). Finally I tried completing the level but the silly bunnies wouldn't drop after using the frog on them like 10 times. Finally I realized I missed eating one fly. So don't give up after getting the cutscene. Keep looking around: maybe you missed a fly. Good luck!

Got it on the 2nd try moving moving the hole near, but not to the button. Stop and let the snakes tail stop bouncing. Then quickly hit the button and quickly back away. Repeat for all the buttons.

You don't have to start in any location or do it on your first attempt. If it's not working it's because you are hitting the buttons twice. The snake shakes around so you have to be careful to back away as soon as the button is pressed to prevent a double press. It's not glitchy, just tricky.

@J2ageGaming's comment is essential and should be added to the guide. Either the initial placement on level spawn is random, or it doesn't start in the right position and has to be set up. Starting in the bottom right, then using the pattern is the trick.

I see the comment has also been made previously (and then hidden because it wasn't recent). Updating the guide really seems important in this case so that all necessary information is available right away.

You’ll know you got it right if there’s a cutscene showing you the vault door opening. Once you finish the cutscene, complete the biolab level.

After you have completed the level, go to the end of the corridor, go under the door, past the rabbit with the blue keycard and go under the other door. You will see the vault door that opened in the cutscene, go inside and the achievement will pop. Collect the gold if you want, but it’s not required.

Level: Raccoon HQ

This is the other complicated and seemingly finicky trophy, but easy enough to perform that you can attempt it repeatedly until it works.

Once inside the Trash King’s HQ, you will make your way to a back room that will have a locked safe to the right of the room. Collect the Red Key on the shelf for access to the Biology Lab. On your way back to the lab collect the scraps of paper around the Trash King Statue and inspect them in the Trashopedia. The description will give you a four movement code (Up, Left, Down, Left). Once you are in the Biology Lab swallow the Raccoons and all the small items and lastly swallow the snake. The snake will allow you to move the magnet arm along the grid that shows two cages of animals. Before grabbing either of the animals set the magnet to the right side. I have seen other guides say to start at the bottom corner, but I was successful starting from the middle section all the way to the right on my first playthrough, my second playthrough worked from the bottom right corner so either should work for you.

Once in place, you must QUICKLY perform the sequence and hit the Grab button using the snake’s tail. Operate the arrow buttons (Up, Left, Down and then Left again) run to the Grab button and hit it as soon as you can. If the timing works you will get a cutscene of the safe door opening. If it does not, reset the arm and try again.

I felt that I had done it successfully and quickly enough quite a few times before it worked for me, so if you have the same issue, keep running the sequence until it works. Both times I was able to get the safe door to open, I had started the sequence in the middle section piece on the right side of the grid so it may not matter where you start, just act fast and you should get it.

Once you get the cutscene, continue with the puzzles in the room and complete the tasks to free all the animals and you will be moved to outside the Lab. Travel to the safe, head inside and swallow up the Trash King’s riches to receive the trophy.

The hint above is mostly correct, but it makes it seem like all you have to do to get the trophy is enter the combination and wait for the vault opening animation. In fact, after this you need to go through the laboratory and through the corridor get into the opened storage room.
PS When entering the code, you do not need to move the grip to any angle - enter in any position. I’m also not sure about the speed, the main thing is to avoid double clicks, which the “tail” really likes to do.
