This is a video of the PC version. The room is located in the last level (Primary Excavation Site) before you fight the Cyberdemon. If you have problems locating it let me know.

I can also confirm that finding the room and walking right up to the logo does not unlock it.

Right before you enter the room to the final boss or the cutscene to the final boss, turn to the left and you should see a secret area which contains the id logo, just press on it and the trophy will unlock. See the video below for more info:

This secret room is found LITERALLY right before the final boss fight with the Cyberdemon.

Near the end of the game you will be wandering down a stone block cave pathway and every few feet you will find an alcove. The very last alcove (to the left of the boss trigger) will have one stone block with the id Software logo engraved on it. Simply press the  button or  on this stone and the achievement is yours.
