How to unlock the DOOMed Marine achievement in DOOM 3: BFG Edition - Definitive Guide
Solution was created by PiCkLE SQU1D in the XB1 version
Completing Doom 3 on Recruit shouldn't be too much of a challenge. I can give you a few tips if you're struggling.
1) Look up the video guides for Nightmare runs. Just follow what they're doing, and know that the difficulty that you're on is far easier. This is also good advice if you are stuck on a certain section such as a puzzle and you don't know where to go or what to do next, just resort to using video guides.
2) Save often! I make 1 save at the beginning of every level and never save over it until I reach the next level. I then make about 5 or 6 other saves for the level. If you really want to, save before entering every room. Reload your save if you don't do so well. Learn the enemies spawns and movements!
3) Take your time! If you're going for the speedrun achievement for beating Doom 3 under 10 hours, don't stress about it too much. You have more than enough time to still search for everything. Make sure you keep your health at 100% and armor at 250% as often as you can. It doesn't hurt to back track a little to pick up a health or armor pickup or health station. Also look for ammo!
4) Once you get the chainsaw, use it! If your health starts getting low, switch to a weapon. You will have max ammo in most weapons if you stick to using your chainsaw, so you will always have enough ammo for whatever situation you get yourself into. TIP: For the enemies that run at you and use their long ass arm to attack, if you crouch right before the attack and chainsaw them, you will never take damage. Save your ammo for the boss fights and stronger enemies.
5) Once you get the Soul Cube, use it whenever you get the chance! Preferably on stronger enemies, but if not, smaller enemies will do just as good. If you use the Chainsaw / Soul Cube combo, you will never run out of health or ammunition. The Soul Cube requires 5 kills before it can be used, then you can use it by pressing cn_left then firing it with cn_RT in an enemies direction. It will give you a huge boost of health, so don't be too worried about your health. If your health gets low and you can't use your soul cube, switch to whatever weapon you want as you will have ammo.

Note: The difficulty trophies stack.
You simply have to complete the DOOM 3 campaign on at least Marine difficulty. Marine difficulty can be chosen from the start.
