How to unlock the Not a Scratch achievement in DOOM 3: BFG Edition - Definitive Guide

The level I did this on was Delta Labs Level 4.
It's a really short level with only 4 enemies, 2 Chainsaw zombies and 2 Hell Knights.
Just kill the Chainsaw zombies using your Chaingun or Plasma Gun from range, and when you come up against the Hell Knights, 2 or 3 charged BFG's should kill them so just keep moving to avoid their attacks. Achievement Unlocked.
Also don't forget that there is also an achievement which is specifically unlocked in this level, it is:
DOOM 3: BFG EditionYou Laugh, It WorksThe You Laugh, It Works achievement in DOOM 3: BFG Edition worth 8 pointsFind the bloody handiwork of Betruger (in Delta 4 Hallway) in DOOM 3

So just make sure you get this before you go through the door after/beside the 2nd Chainsaw zombie.

If you get bored would you cut and paste this solution over on the xbox one version? Then I can thumbs up them both.

You can probably get this easily by playing on the lowest difficulty on ROE since the gravity gun actually let's the player throw the energy balls back at the enemy and allows the player to grab incoming lost souls which makes the mission a bit easier.

This would be on easy it means you can try catch this achievement too:
DOOM 3: BFG EditionPlay CatchThe Play Catch achievement in DOOM 3: BFG Edition worth 22 pointsKill 20 enemies with projectiles launched from the Grabber in RoE

If you're trying to find the shortest level then I recommend looking at the speed runs times for maps that might be the quickest:
http://speeddemosarchive.com/Doom3.html
Current shortest time seems to be: Delta labs 4

If people post negative feedback then give me a reason as to why it didn't help because I gave a solution, I'm trying to give the best information while trying to improve the guide.

Anyway this tutorial should mean you can play the game naturally, just replay the first mission of RoE without replaying the main campaign.

Glad to help, wish the haters would say why the solution didn't work for them.

i voted negatively because the solutions grammar and layout kinda suck. some things are repeated for no reason and you give to much useless information. also you are being very braggadocious in saying you did it on nightmare. thats how it reads to me anyway. i only came back here because of an auto message from the site that said you edited the solution. i also got the achievement another way. try again and ill come back again soonish.

Delexnugs that's a terrible excuse. Also your grammar/spelling is worse. I also repeat thing's to remind people. Your comment itself is somewhat one-sided, conscending, hypercritical.

This solution is not about the best grammar, I improved with grammar/spelling checks before editing previously, the solution has helped others. Also I stated it was simple on nightmare because if you follow the technique then it should be easier on any difficulty so if someone wanted to do this on Nightmare then they can. If you have a problem with that then that's your problem.

As of 2-20-20 this sounds like a great solution so thumbs up. Do you know if you have to beat the main campaign first to unlock ROE? I don't see an option to play ROE or the lost mission. I am in the middle of my first campaign and the only option makes it sound like I will lose all of my saves. I think start a new campaign comes up and it says "are you sure....". Thanks Troy

I did this achievement on the last mission of the game, where you kill Cyberdemon. It is very easy, you only need kill the enemies that respawn near you to fill the soul cube and throw it on Cyberdemon few times, and the place where you kill him it's huge, so you can dodge easily

To get this you must beat any level without taking damage (soonest you can do this is in alpha-labs).

To do this just simply save after most fights, if you get hit just reload. I'd suggest doing this on lowest difficulty and as early as possible. The sooner the better since the levels just get harder as you go.

I'd recommend doing this at Delta Labs Level 4. Just gun down the demons with Chainsaws and give the two Hellknights at the end two full BFG blasts while avoiding their attacks.

This can be obtained by constantly saving and reloading when you take damage. However it's especially easy to do this on Delta Labs 4, as it's very short or on one of the very small levels such as Communications Transfer. Save after each and every enemy you kill like if you were playing Nightmare. The trophy will unlock after transferring to the next level.

The best level to accomplish this feat would be the very first level of RoE. None of the Mars City levels will count (Underground, etc.). Just make sure you save constantly and if you take a hit, simply reload and continue.
