You'll come to a computer that gives you the option to Open the Chamber and let the scientist out or Activate it and kill him. Choose activate and achievement is yours.
Keep in mind by doing this will prevent you from getting the DOOMed Collector achievement because you won't be able to get into the next locked room which contains 2 PDAs without the scientist. I'd recommend saving right before and then reload after killing him

In Alpha Labs Sector 4 you'll start off seeing someone trapped in a chamber and he'll tell you to open the chamber. The console has two options, Open Chamber and Activate chamber. Instead of hitting Open Chamber hit Activate Chamber, he will then die and you'll get your trophy. Be aware though you can't get the PDAs in his locked room if you do this so if you're trying to get DOOMed Collector, make sure to save before doing this.

Eventually you will arrive in Alpha Labs section four of the Alpha Labs chain of levels. At one point in this level, you will go through a door and enter a room with a control panel overlooking some sort of chamber with orange walls. There will be a scientist trapped inside.
Before you do anything however, make a manual save before you choose either of the following options. Now you will want to choose “Activate Chamber” from the screen’s menu instead of “Open Chamber.”
Once you get the achievement, LOAD the file you just made. Proceed down to where he was because there are collectables that you will miss.
