Not sure if anyone else has this issue but this achievement did not unlock for me.. no issues with any others or extra life mode..

Same here, didn't unlock on initial playthrough. Will try replaying Mission 4, and see if that works.

Same as “It’s a magic number” achievement, this didn’t unlock for me and as you can see, I commented on it back in 2020. I have since unlocked both these achievements but using this solution. Downside is, you lose your progress.

Achievements not unlocking.....here is the fix

By the end of the game you will already understand that this is not such a powerful opponent. I didn’t like the hint that advised first to destroy his shield with an energy weapon. I threw a cryogrenade and fired an RPG/machine gun/sticky shotgun and destroyed his platform in a couple of seconds. Then there are only 1-2 salvoes with guidance from an RPG and you're done.
