How to unlock the The Once and Future Slayer achievement in DOOM Eternal - Definitive Guide

This achievement is simply completing every level within the campaign, on any difficulty you prefer. As long as you aren't on Ultra Nightmare the difficulty can be changed whenever you want, however any cheats you unlock within the game can be used without disabling Achievements. To that effect the first level, Hell On Earth, has an unlockable cheat for infinite lives. This essentially trivializes the difficulty of most if not every portion of the game and with the exception of Slayer Gates this can be used for every portion.

This is incorrect as far as I can tell. On Xbox I cannot enable cheats on any level until after I have completed it normally.

Start playing right away in Extra Life mode and on the easiest difficulty. By the end of the campaign, you will receive 3 achievements at once.
  • This is an achievement
  • For collecting 20 extra lives
  • For 10 extra lives at the end of the story
Cheat codes and the ability to select chapters do not work in this mode.
Therefore, in any case, you will have to go through the company again in order to complete the achievement for completing the chapter with the “Hunger” cheat.

The trophy also drops if you immediately play in Extra Life mode.
