Doritos Crash Course 2

unobtainable for me too... got the message "server not available at this time" just after buying the last one of the pirate island and now shows unlocked and can't buy it again so far 2 people or maybe more with this issue? what can we do now or we won't be able to complete the game?

Wow just read about this and I am so worried that it will happen to me too. I have 4 to go but you know what I dont think I will play this one again. Absolute arse!

I have unlocked all the split paths and don't have the achievement either.

I will add this to the solution guys. I assume it is a random thing?

can anyone confirm if they can delete their game save? Or is it saved on an online server?

Its saved to the profile so Ive read from others. Its annoying as hell. So sorry for those affected by this bullshit.

yes i would be very frustrated. I doubt they would patch it as its a free game. we can only hope...

And what causes this is simply the bullshit server. Why does it need to be online only. You know this is a hint of what the next Xbox might be like.

there are only 2 archives on the hardrive one is the game the other is the update, deleting the update does nothing when you enter the game you download the update again but you keep everything you've done so far, unless a new update solve this maybe this is glitched and to obtain it will be highly dependant of the server, your internet conection and good luck, if this is like will be the next console and the games I wont buy the next xbox and move to ps4

I really don't think missing out on 1 achievement should be putting people off the new xbox. This was a free game also so i dont think we can demand too much from it. The split path is still unlocked and you can progress with the game. I just personally don't see how this relates in anyway to the new xbox guys, and I would say the same if I was one unable to obtain the achievement. My opinion, thats all.

I wasnt going to get the new Xbox regardless. 360 is enough, I am going backwards now, SNES, Mega Drive, Dreamcast, even the ZX Spectrum! But keeping in the topic if the achievement doesnt unlock because of a code error that sucks but losing an achievement due to random server issues on an "always online" game is sort of a different kettle in the fish. One achievement yes a bit OTT but I kinda get it.

Well lucky me got the achievement but to all who now cannot I can only offer my upmost sympathy.

i tried to delete my save with the usb trick: putting the profile on an usb device, and plug it out while the game loads the savegame. i gave it a few tries but i could`t delete it. it seems to be an online save. i hate this crap.

Yes its saved to your profile so I am afraid there is nothing you can do although trying to corrupt your data was a bloody good idea. All you can hope for is for Microsoft to release a patch which is highly unlikely and if it happens it might be 7 years before they do. Well done Microsoft.

i e-mailed them the problem. this is the answer:

"The team is aware of the issue and is trying to resolve it with Microsoft as quickly as possible. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

@Jan 0: The fact that they responded to your email so quickly actually shows promise. Realistically, we may see a fix for this since there are more courses "coming soon". I shall remain optimistic.

On a different note, I noticed this happened to most of us when purchasing the last one for Pirate Island. Perhaps, saving one from a different set for last would avoid this issue. Plus, when mine glitched, I was unlocking five of them in one go. Maybe if a person plays a course before buying the last one? These are just some ideas that I've been throwing around.

I realize that the above suggestions, in no way, help those of us who already encountered the problem. I'm just hoping to help others from joining us on the list.

When they release the courses that are coming soon, they will no doubt have split paths, which upon unlocking them may unlock this achievement. That is a mere assumption though.

^That's kind of what I'm hoping for as well. Of course, look how long we waited for the DLC to the first one. :(

Talked to a live rep today about my achievement not popping. After about an hour of trying different things, it came down to waiting for the next patch. I guess theres ALOT of people contacting microsoft about this problem. I guess we'll see what the future holds.

Shit, I wish I read the. Just happened to me

I was aware of this problem and unlocked the split paths in a different order in the last world. (not 1-2-3-4-5) I think I did the last level third and it disconnected me. I reconnected and did the last 2 and wasn't disconnected again. Achievement unlocked. As long as you don't unlock the last levels split path last, you'll be fine.

Thanks for this, although I'm pretty certain I unlocked them in order, yes definitely, so pirate 5 last and it unlocked for me. This was on the second day after release. I will add this to the solution for others to try and hope to get feedback from some who do try it. cheers

@Ki11erLawnGnome: Unfortunately, I unlocked them 1-2-4-5-3 and it still went wrong. That was actually unintentional, I just missed the third one when I was going down the list.

Hmm I'm not sure then. It seemed like whenever the last pirate level was unlocked it disconnects. Maybe it is random then.

At this point, anything was worth a shot. I've still got friends who can't even start the game. If I could go back and do it again, I would have unlocked all but one, played a course first, and then unlocked the last one (which may not have worked either).

I gave you a thumbs up for bringing the issue to my attention before I went down a shitty path… I followed the advice and it worked for me.

I never lost connection to the servers when unlocking items, but I did lose a few times in game. servers are complete shit. As I am sure everyone did/does, I unlocked the levels and their split paths at the same time. I bought 1 and 5 together; completed the courses (got all 16 stars and a silver and 0-deaths); then bought 4 and completed it; then bought 2 and 3 at the same time… with fingers crossed. (I think I bought 2 first, then 3)

it may not work for everyone, but why chance it. try unlocking them our of order as a default workaround…

I just unlocked to today (3 June 2014) and I can confirm that this achievement is still obtainable. I had unlock some of the expert levels and paths and finished the last set of levels in non-sequencial order (just like the guide says).

I worked on a few challenges to earn enough coins to unlock the last paths and it worked. Just follow the solution just as it says.

im glad i read killerslawnnombes comment when i was down to last levels pirate 4 and pirate 5 to unlock!
