First opportunity to do this is at the end of the first mission, in true classic NES Double Dragon style. Once you reach the section with the revolving belt get on the left side and when Abobo appears lure him onto it and use any combination of attacks to knock him off the edge. You could even grab a baseball bat from one of the previous enemies in this section and make the job not just easier but more satisfying... Smack!

If you are planning on completing the game and are having trouble with stage 1, don't worry, there are a couple easier opportunities later in the game.
There is a very easy opportunity to get this in the first part of Stage 9 when you are sliding down the hill on the plant's mouth. Eventually an Abobo will spawn, and you can Spin Kick him off the platform very easily.
There's also two different opportunities on stage 10 that are pretty easy. The first is in an area with no depth (so, you and enemies can't move closer or further away from the camera -- only side to side) with a "flipper plank" thing in the middle and a pit to the right. Lure the Abobo onto the flipper plank and then walk on the "X" to flip Abobo into the pit.
The second opportunity is right before the first boss battle on stage 10. It's an elevator section with three platforms and two holes. Eventually two Abobos will spawn. Spin kick them and they will very likely fall into the hole.

Nice guide! I would also recommend to use the baseball bat that drops off one of the goons right before Abobo appears.
