I got 16% so at least 6 times.

I got 17% to 18% each time. So 6 times is accurate.

Black hens are plentiful in level 2-1, "Rust in the Wind". I suggest playing it on "Metal" to balance the difficulty vs. progress. You only need to complete it 5 times to kill enough hens. Just make sure to alternate between shooting high and low to cover the whole screen and keep the hoard off your bumper.
