How to unlock the Bane of Thedas achievement in Dragon Age: Origins - Definitive Guide
After fighting your way through Denerim, you'll end up back on the roof of Fort Drakon where the last Grey Warden along with some of their companions will be fighting the Archdemon. Simply defeat all the enemies whilst protecting the archdemon to finish the quest.
The achievement doesn't unlock until after the final cut scene.
The achievement description is misleading. While it says that you will earn it after killing the last Grey Warden, you need to finish the entire fight (killing any non-Wardens who are left too), and watch the final cutscene before it will pop.
No special tactics or strategies are needed in the final fight. If you're having trouble with the combat anywhere, simply reduce the difficulty to Casual.
This is the same as the last quest of the game, except that you're one of the Darkspawn. As you go through Denerim, you'll be getting new quests from the Archdemon. You go through the Gates, the Marketplace, the Alienage, the Palace District, and then Fort Drakon. You'll also have to kill some of your former companions along the way. You'll have to find out which ones for yourself. To end the DLC, you have to kill the last of the Gray Wardens.
