How to unlock the Set for Life achievement in DRAGON BALL FIGHTERZ - Definitive Guide
------------------------
This method will get you ~300,000 zeni per hour. Loading times and how quick you clear the battles will affect this, though not by a huge amount. I played this game on an X1X, which I believe has quicker loading times, so if you're on a normal X1 you may earn slightly less.
This method DOES take a bit of setting up before you can start farming, but set up is one time only. Once that's done, it's extremely easy.
Prerequisites:
- Clear the Story's Hard Mode (unfortunately)
- Collect three Victory Zeni Up Level 6 skills (you'll naturally earn these clearing Hard Mode)
- A few characters at least over level 70
Method:
Load up Chapter 8, Map 14.
Clear every battle on the map with the exception of the circled spaces. Save after every match as you're clearing the map, because if Kid Buu spawns, you absolutely do not want him to take over any of the spaces you'll be using to farm zeni. The amount of money you get per fight is based on how many enemies you beat, which is why you don't want Buu capturing any of the farming spots. The boss space is immune to Kid Buu, so don't worry about that. You won't be clearing it, anyway.
Once the map is clear besides the two spaces you'll be farming, save again. You'll want to be in the spot I am in this screenshot:
Choose one high level character and leave the other two slots empty. Load up the first battle, and proceed to beat up the opponents. DO NOT DEFEAT THEM. Get their health as close to zero as possible, but don't KO them. When one enemy is close to death, Dragon Rush them out of there and snap in the next opponent to start working on lowering their health. Repeat for the third opponent when the second is on low health.
Be careful, even if a low health opponent is snapped out. If they're called in as an assist and get hit by a strong enough attack, they'll be taken out and you'll have to reload your save and try again. Only use auto-combos, Super Dash and Dragon Rush to weaken them to reduce the chance of accidentally knocking anyone out. Super Dash and Dragon Rush cannot KO an opponent, which makes them very useful in getting HP down to as low as possible. Once you have all three of the characters down to low enough HP where a single hit will knock them out, allow yourself to lose the match. You'll be kicked back to the map and lose one turn (you should have plenty of turns left, so don't worry.) Save the game. Pick another character to replace your knocked out one.
[Edit]: A tip from Count023:
The purpose of burning these turns is to boost the level of the enemies in the two fights. The enemy space will pulse each time it levels up. This increases the amount of zeni you get at the end of the match. This step isn't super important, but every little increase of zeni helps reduce the grind. Save one more time. The method is now fully set up. Now simply clear both of the fights on the stage (leave the boss fight alone). Since the three enemies in each should be at very low health, you can one shot them all. Each fight will give you a mininum of 6000 zeni if the enemies aren't leveled up, for a total of at least 12000 each clear. Each clear should take about 2 minutes or so, factoring in load times. Once both fights are clear, do not save. Exit to Story Mode Menu, you'll keep the zeni you earned. Continue. The map will reload with the two fights ready to clear again. Rinse and repeat until you hit 20 million zeni!

Guessing if there’s more awards to be handed out u can get the achievement that way without playing a match
I saw apparently there is a slightly faster method here. http://www.powerpyx.com/dragon-ball-fighterz-fastest-zeni-fa... Involves just fighting one match instead of two, maybe someone would want to try that (not sure i want to have to re-set my current save to the currnet slower method).
Also you should mention in your guide that Super Dash and Dragon Rush _do not kill_ so they can be used to get HP to basically one-hit KO on enemies and not actually kill them. Useful in getting those last bits of health out.
Edit: You go to the new boot camp lobby implemented in season 3 to the left of where you spawn in the main lobby, then once you're into the fighterz dojo speak to the reception, click on "join a tournament of power" you have to complete the first four tournaments (each tournament except the last consists of three matches) then you'll unlock three more elite tournaments, the one we want is called "push it past the limit" the matches should only take less than a minute each and you'll get 30k after completion which can be repeated indefinitely
Anyways. Get into any lobby, and during the loading screen, disconnect ur wifi, or Ethernet. The game will boot u out ASAP when u reach the avatar lobby. BUT you’ll be given the 5 million zenis. When back in menu. Repeat until u get desired zenis and/or the Set for Life achievement. Also works by logging into offline lobby’s.
If this worked for you, you can thank my god awful internet for accidentally finding this glitch.
You want to increase the level of both teams to their limit. I believe Team Yamcha can go up to LVL 91 and Piccolo to LVL 94. If you dont get the level up on the correct team, return to story mode title screen and then hit Continue on Hard mode to restart from the last time you saved. So every time one of the teams levels up, you will want to save the game. Enemies do level up after fights as well as there will be 2-3 teams you will need to defeat that are in your way. You have 22 turns to level them up 7-9 LVLs.
At any point when you get next to team Piccolo or Yamcha, switch your team to some expendable guys you dont like and initiate battle. The goal here is to weaken all three fighters and then lose. That way when you got those teams leveled up you can end the fight quickly.
Once you got the teams to level 91 or higher, save your game and then win the 2 fights using 3 LVL 6 Zeni Bonus skills and you will rack up 6k+ zeni in just a couple mins. Once you defeat the two teams return to story title screen and reload your last saved game for Hard Mode.
I take no credit for this solution. A youtube video below is where I found this all out
This is arguably the most time consuming trophy in the game, as you will need to earn at least 20,000,000 Zeni as you play through each of the game's modes in order to unlock it. Thankfully, this trophy is accumulative, meaning that regardless of spending Zeni, it will not affect the total amount you have collected overall when going for each of the three Zeni trophies, so if you choose to spend them on unlocking content for your profile card and lobby avatar, as well as character colors, the overall amount of Zeni you have earned will not decrease.
Some ways you can earn Zeni include combo challenges, which will net you up to 5,000 Zeni for completing all ten of them for each character, for a total of 120,000 Zeni if you complete all ten combo challenges for the game's twenty four character launch roster; finishing arcade routes with an S Rank will net the player 7,000 Zeni for each course you complete with said rank; and completing online matches in each of the game's online modes will help you earn Zeni, regardless if you win or lose. You can check how much Zeni you have accumulated by checking your offline mode log inside your player profile (which can be accessed by pressing twice while looking at your player info card as you pause the game).
Currently, the fastest way to earn Zeni is by replaying Chapter 7, Map 13 in the Android 21 Arc on Hard mode with the "Victory Zeni Up Lv. 6" skill equipped three times to boost its effect, which means that you will need to play through the story mode at least six times in order to obtain this; afterwards, play the match that rewards the player with 300 Zeni, which will total up to 5,300 Zeni for completing it. Repeat this process over and over and this will net you at least 106,000 Zeni every hour. A video demonstrating this method can be found here (Credit to PowerPyx for both; the information regarding this method, and the video below).

Which option is more convenient for you is up to you.
And also play offline, loading is a little faster.
UPD: sometimes it’s worth going online once a day, as you get free zens from 10k to 100k
