"A quicker way to do this would be to set up a team on the world tournament map with knockouts on, items on & weak CPU, make it a team mode (I put MUI Goku in first place then 4 other favourites to raise proficiency faster) put hercule on the other side alone and try to make sure you have the ability item “Rising Fighting Spirit” that raises Ki to full at beginning of the match & just Kamehameha Hercule off the stage then rinse & repeat.. takes around 2-3 seconds per match"
Edit 2: You can also use a Turbo controller with the above method and let it collect the dragon balls for you without doing anything.
Just put 5 chars on your team and turbo the A-Button
Edit 1: You'll get Dragon Balls as random rewards for tournaments aswell.
The only way to get Dragon Balls for Porunga is in offline Battle 1P vs CPU (as far as I know)
I fought against the Frieza Soldier
I've played a few matches with Gogeta Blue and got one pretty quickly. But then it stopped.
I got bored of Gogeta and switched to Ultra Instinct.
Another guide said that it does not matter if you replay the battle all the time. But I did exactly that and had dozens of battles without seeing any of the 2 Dragon Balls.
I played for like 1 hour and only got 3 Dragon Balls. Then I switched Characters everytime I recieved any Dragon Ball (Shenron/Polunga) and got the remaining 4 in like 20 minutes.
MAYBE it was RnJesus, but I don't know. Maybe wort trying it out.
But if that's not the case, you still know how to get Porunga Dragon Balls!

It's just pure RNG, changing characters won't increase the chances. The first three took me about 25 minutes, but Dragonball #4 took me close to an hour to get by itself. The remaining three took about half an hour as well. I used the same two characters and map the whole time.

Waiting on the page to display the capture video correctly but in short a simple way to farm the dragon balls for Shenron & Porunga is by playing battle offline against weak cpu on the world tournament stage against Mr. Satan as the others have said with a random ball usually appearing every 5 or so matches (random drop)
My personal experience for the quickest farm is to use Dabura. Simply move back one step then do the special called "evil impulse" as you can see in the clip if it hits it guarantees a ring out.
In my testing it works 9/10 tries with only the all-time Mr. Satan will dodge. This reduces the time spent in match to seconds.
