How to unlock the Side by Side achievement in DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO - Definitive Guide

First make sure youre on the default difficulty setting. You can only complete bonus objectives on normal difficulty, which you need to do to unlock the branching path.

In Goku's saga pick "The Earth's Mightiest Duo?!" episode and choose to go alone to fight Raditz. You will need to beat him within a specific time limit to unlock the branching path.

You can change to easy difficulty to complete the rest of the episodes after the Raditz fight.

A way to win fast is to charge to 3 bars of ki at the start of the round and use a meteor smash straight away (RT+Y). If it misses or is blocked you can restart the battle and it doesn't take long. Then as he is launched away charge to full sparking mode. In sparking mode get in close and spam X, eventually press Y then immediately use you're Ultimate attack (RT+B). This has worked well for me so far with all fights.

You will need to finish the entire branching path to unlock the achievement.
There is a lot of episodes in this branching path but if you can win them all with the same method. Feel free to pick whichever friend you want to train with.

This doesn’t really explain this in my opinion. Can you defeat Raditz on lower difficulty? And what is the time limit to defeat him? I beat it but it was just for staying alive long enough and no achievement.

To complete the bonus objective you need to be on normal difficulty. I'm not sure about the specifics of the time limit but you should know if you're going to slow because you will get the normal ending. You can most likely change to easy difficulty for the rest of the episodes you unlock but I'm not sure because I stayed on normal difficulty. You will only get the achievement after finishing the whole branching storyline that unlocks after finishing the bonus objective (which is surprisingly long tbh). I will edit my guide to try and explain this better.

@GavinXBL, as someone that is casual at this game and sucks against the normal difficulty, I tried your advise to best Raditz but I have no idea how to get close to him to spam x and then use y and ultimate. Tried many times but just gave up for now. Same goes for the rest of the special unlocks for me.

The best way to get close is to dragon dash at them(RT+A). Hold forward while doing it and tap back to stop, or you can start attacking with X when you get really close to them. It does use Ki though so keep that in mind.
You can practice it in training mode. From the main menu go to Battle and Training - Super training - Battle training - Intermediate - High speed movements - Dragon dash
I would recommend all the battle training to get better at the game they helped me, although there is a lot to remember so maybe focus on dragon dashing and sparking mode stuff.

Can confirm that you only need to be on default difficulty for the initial battle. I changed to lower for the remaining fights and got the achievement at the end.
