How to unlock the The Greatest Warriors achievement in DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE - Definitive Guide

This achievement speaks for itself, but requires something tricky:

First, complete all of the time patrol missions.
Second, complete all of the parallel missions.
Last, use three wishes from Shenron (gathering all seven dragon balls three times) on the "more usable characters" option.

The time patrol and parallel mission steps are relatively simple, but the wishes from Shrenron actually require grinding "Patrollers in training" you may randomly encounter during parallel missions.

The best method I've personally seen for forcing an encounter is the very beginning of parallel mission No.12 "Fierce Battle! Ginyu Force"

From the very beginning of the mission the patroller should be visible; look just ahead of where you spawn along the walking path for a glowing exclamation mark. If a patroller is not standing around in that location, hit start and retry the mission. Also be aware, you cannot retry missions in online lobbies with other players, so this method is only useful in offline parallel quests.

Once they appear, interact with them and fight them. Killing them should net you one material item and a "Key Item" which is one of the dragon balls. Simply finish off the mission afterwards to claim the item. Important note, as you gather more dragon balls they become increasingly rare. You will frequently get only material items from patrollers later on. To break up the monotony you could try missions No. 15 or No. 2 for fun as well.

*Quick edit: In the event a patroller gives you only material items you can retry the mission and still potentially get a key item from what appears to be the exact same patroller; I've personally encountered it and players in comments say the same. Even though they look the same, their loot does change.

In addition to that, it may take several retries for the patroller to appear as you collect more dragon balls. I'm currently writing this solution between loading screens because of this.

Good luck, happy hunting.

You can take out the part about needing to reset if you get only material items. It is just purely random. However, Ive been restarting every time, and usually the third time I beat the same patroller, Ill get the key item. I use only ultimate attacks, and make sure I beat them. Ive never gotten a Key item if an ally did the final attack.

Same for mission no. 52. Just make sure you kill at least one monkey with an ultimate attack to get the ultimate end. Very fast and simple. Sorry for my poor english!

Oh boi this game is so grindy and still the TA score is so low .... In total you have to collect the 7 dragonballs 5 times right for the completion?

I think 6 times actually, twice for Super Moves, twice for Ultimate moves, and then 3 more for these character unlocks.

For this trophy you'll need to unlock all characters and their variations. Now, Variations are just different loadouts and costumes for the characters and you really don't need to worry about those because they'll be automatically given when you unlock new characters. As for unlocking these characters in Xenoverse, they can be done in following different ways of:

  1. Clearing the Story Mode's Sagas
  2. Completing all Parallel Quests
  3. Wishes granted from the Dragon Balls

Sagas in the story mode are where your Custom Character completes Sagas based off the DBZ's manga and anime, but in "what if" story-lines. Completing each will grant you access to more characters from those Sagas you've cleared. There are more characters that will be unlocked for you just by completing certain Parallel Quests, which is something you're required to do for the Platinum trophy anyway. Just remember that Time Shards are also required for this trophy too because they unlock Broly and Bardock's Sagas for the story mode. For more information on Time Shards and how to get them please see "Close Calls Are More Exciting!" for more information.

The last 3 characters are from wishes made by gathering the 7 Dragon Balls. The wishes for more powerful characters will grant you:

  1. Gogeta (Super Saiyan 4)
  2. Super 17
  3. Omega Shenron

Each wish is separate, so you'll need 3 wishes for these Characters to be unlocked. Keep in mind that DLC characters do not count towards this trophy's unlocking.

A vast majority of characters will be unlocked naturally through story play, generally as you encounter them in the story, and many of the variations unlock in the same fashion as you do story and parallel quests. Upon completing the story and all PQs you will have three remaining character slots (pre-DLC), and all three are unlocked via the collection of all 7 dragon balls and making a wish to Shenron for a new characters. Do that a total of three times to unlock the last three characters.

You need to complete the main story.
After completing the Demigra saga, you need to collect 5 fragments to open the additional saga of the legendary super saiyan:

1 shard is given after completing the Demigra saga
2 fragments can be found immediately at the exit from the portal on the right by talking to a passerby with a green question above his head
3 shards by completing parallel quest number 2 or 21 with ultimate finish (randomly dropped)
4 shards by completing parallel quest number 14 with ultimate finish (randomly dropped)
5 fragment by completing parallel quest number 49 with ultimate finish (randomly dropped)

After that, all that remains is to complete all parallel quests (55 in total)
And farm 3 times 7 dragon balls to summon shenlon and wish for more characters:
- Super 17
-Gogeta
-Omega Shenlon

To determine which mission has which shards, simply press right on the mission selection screen and you will see the reward given out for the mission. Shards are given for Ultimate Finish. But the chance of falling out is not 100%
