How to unlock the The Best Miracle Of The World achievement in DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE - Definitive Guide
Step 1: Go to Parallel Quest 2 (online or offline)
Step 2: Pick any Character
Step 3: Beat Yamcha, Tien & Krillin
Step 4: When the portal opens look for the random time patroller. (The one you see might look different and that's ok. They usually change after every time you do this.)
Step 5: Go up to the time patroller and accept his challenge for a fight. Then beat him!
Step 6: You should get two messages after beating the time patroller. (1x material item and 1x important item)
Step 7: Go to through portal and beat Gohan, Piccolo, and Goku if he appears.
Now you got one Dragon Ball!
Keep repeating these steps until you have all 7 Dragon Balls!
Step 1: Go through the portal in Toki Toki City next to the Parallel Quest station
Step 2: Go to the wish station and summon Shenron
Step 3: Choose your wish!
TIME PATROLLER INFO:
-Time patrollers appear randomly! If you don't see a time patroller, restart the quest!
-If you see a time patroller, but don't get the two messages (You got material item and You got important item), then restart the quest!
I hold LT while just before pressing A to start the mission. Soon as you launch forward press RB to lock on to someone and hammer at X to do the 5 hit combo that launches them in the air and follows through with a hit down. This is a guaranteed KO and allows me to beat all 3 on my own in around 10 / 15 secs.
As for selecting PQ2, i have found that whichever robot you previously used to select the quest and obtained a Dragonball from, use the opposite robot next time. Not sure if this is just a coincidence though but its worked so far so i’m sticking with it.
In doing it this way i managed to summon Shenron twice in around 30 mins.
Having read about using PQ12 instead i will check and confirm later and see if i can see any patterns that help to spawn the Time Patroller / Dragonball drop.
The best method I've personally seen for forcing an encounter is the very beginning of parallel mission No.12 "Fierce Battle! Ginyu Force"
From the very beginning of the mission the patroller should be visible; look just ahead of where you spawn along the walking path for a glowing exclamation mark. If a patroller is not standing around in that location, hit start and retry the mission. Also be aware, you cannot retry missions in online lobbies with other players, so this method is only useful in offline parallel quests.
Once they appear, interact with them and fight them. Pay close attention to you screen after killing them as the game shows the loot, if you're lucky it should be one material item and a "Key Item" which is one of the dragon balls. Simply finish off the mission afterwards to claim the item. Important note, as you gather more dragon balls they become increasingly rare. You will frequently get only material items from patrollers later on. In the event you get only material items from the patroller you can retry and still potentially get a key item from what appears to be the same patroller. Don't be discouraged by the drop rates, but to break up the monotony you could try missions No. 15 or No. 2 for fun as well.
In addition to that, it may take several retries for the patroller to appear as you collect more dragon balls. I'm currently writing this solution between loading screens because of this.
Good luck, happy hunting.
One of the Ultimate Finish conditions is to finish the fight in 3 minutes which is very easy to manage once over levelled. Then you have a chance of spawning a time patroller who jumps into the fight.
Frieza can be defeated in around 1-2 minutes or even less than a minute with a beefy character.
Pretty good for experience grinding too, grants a fair bit with multiple quick runs.
The dragon balls are dropped by time patrollers that will appear just before you need to travel through a warp gate. They seem to be able to appear on any quest that is across multiple maps. Before you leave an area press left on the d pad to access your scouter, a time patroller will be easy to spot. Fly over to him or her and press o to start fighting. Once defeated they will either drop 2x material items or 1x material item and 1x key item. The key item is a Dragonball, if you get 2x material item you may want to restart the quest.
I have personally found the time Patroller's easy to find in these quest's.
Quest 2
After you beat Krillan, Tien and Yamcha the patroller will appear in the building to the right.
Quest 5
After you beat the Saibaman and Raditz a time patroller can appear to the left of a warp gate.
Quest 12
As soon as you start you will see the patroller straight in front of you with the scouter.
It's worth noting that 7 wishes are required for the platinum trophy. 2x ultimate attacks, 2x special skills and 3x new characters. - credits to the gamefaqs community for this part
Dragon Balls are rare loot that are dropped by other patrollers, whether they are randomly generated enemies simply called “Patroller,” or player created characters that sort of invade your game to fight you, they all have a chance of dropping a random dragon ball. These patrollers can appear in a good chunk of the parallel quests, appearing sometimes as NPCs that you can talk to and challenge to a fight after you clear an area, and other times flat out attacking you after you clear out an area. One thing to be aware of when facing these guys is to press to use your scanner and verify what level they are – and this is especially true for the NPC-type patrollers that you talk to in order to initiate combat, as they can be anywhere from level 5 to level 80.
With all of that being said, I have found that by far the best method to farming Dragon Balls is in Parallel Quest 15, where you fight Frieza on a dying Namek. You will need to be pretty powerful in order to defeat Frieza fast enough to POSSIBLY have a patroller spawn after he dies. Of course even once the patroller spawns, and you defeat them, you only have another, even smaller chance, that they will actually drop a dragon ball. Thankfully, this whole quest only takes about 2 minutes to do, so it has some pretty quick turnaround.
You can check your item inventory in your bag to see how many dragon balls you have collected, and once you have collected all seven you are able to summon Shenron at his pedestal in Plaza of Time.
Upon summoning him, you will have to select from the following options:
- I Want Money - Rewards 500k Zeni, repeatable
- I Want a Rare Item - Rewards Power Pole accessory, repeatable
- I Want to Look Stylish - Rewards one piece of Journey to the West Equipment, repeatable for whole set and accessory
- I Want to Be Stronger - Rewards soul resonance apparatus x5 and Soul spreading synthetic device x3
- I Want to Grow - Grants the xp required to reach the next level, repeatable
- I Want to a new Ultimate Attack - Rewards 1st Time: Blitz Hell Ball, 2nd Time: Minus Energy Ball
- I Want a new Super Attack - Rewards 1st Time: Flash Bomber, Drain Field, and Thunder Eraser, 2nd Time: Dragon Flash Bullet, Whirlwind Blade, and the Lullaby Punch
- I Want More Characters - Rewards 1st Time: Gogeta (Super Saiyan 4), 2nd Time: Super 17, 3rd Time: Omega Shenron
- I Want a Second Chance at Life! - Reset attributes so you can reassign them, repeatable.
- I Want to Drop-dead Gorgeous - Can recreate you character (aside from a name change), repeatable.
Update Version 1.04 made gathering the Dragon Balls much easier. Be sure to play Xenoverse with the latest current patches.
For this trophy you'll need to gather all 7 Dragon Balls and summon Shenron. As many fans of the DBZ series would know, Dragon Balls are orange crystal spheres with the ability to call forth the Eternal Dragon, Shenron, who has the ability to grant wishes to anyone who gathers all seven of them. Usually these items are found with the use of a Dragon Radar, but in Xenoverse they're gathered by fighting and defeating random Time Patrollers throughout Parallel Quests (PQs). There are many different PQs that you can select to do for them to appear, but some of the more commonly well-known gathering methods will be listed below:
- No.02 Prepare for the Attack of Saiyans!
- No.12 Fierce Battle! Ginyu Force
- No.15 The Explosion of Namek
- No.18 Return of Ginyu Force!
- No.19 Let's Train
- No.22 Earth in Danger!
There are more missions that Time Patrollers can randomly appear in, but these can get the job done for you. Now personally I like numbers 12 and 19 the best because you can just adjust your camera to see if the Time Patrollers are there or not. If they're not there you simply press or then select "Retry" so you can reload the PQ again. This will increase your chances of getting a Time Patroller to spawn much faster. If a Time Patroller is there you must talk to them with and accept their challenge to fight. Defeat them in combat and one or two different types of items will drop from them. The message will be either of the following:
- You got Material Item!
- You got Key Item!
What you're looking for is the second option listed above of "You got Key Item!". This is a Dragon Ball item and once you see that message you must successfully finish the rest of the Parallel Quest without failing for it to be collected into your "Important Items" list which is found in your Bag Menu screen. For those wondering what the Material Items are that also drop from the Time Patrollers, they're Hercule Badge which can be sold for money in shops. See "Eyes On The Prize" for more information.
After gathering all 7 Dragon Balls you'll need to go to the Plaza of Time and put them in the center of the area, which is called the Dragon Ball pedestal. Use it and Shenron will appear to grant you wishes, which can be seen below:
- I Want Money! – Grants 500,000 Zeni (Repeatable)
- I Want a Rare Item! – Grants the Power Pole Accessory (Repeatable)
- I Want to Dress Up! – Grants the Saiyuki Costume Set [Upper Body, Lower Body, Hand, Feet, Accessory] (Repeatable)
- I Want to Get Stronger! – Grants the Soul Resonance Apparatus x5 and Soul Spreading Synthetic Device x3 (Repeatable)
- I Want to Grow! – Grants you enough experience to level up. (Repeatable)
-
I Want a New Ultimate Attack! – Grants you a new Ultimate Attacks (Limited)
- 1st: Shocking Death Ball
- 2nd: Minus Energy Power Ball
-
I Want a New Super Attack! – Grants you a new Super Attacks (Limited)
- 1st: Flash Bomber, Drain Field, and Thunder Eraser
- 2nd: Dragon Flash Bullet, Whirlwind Blade, and Lullaby Punch
-
I Want More Usable Characters! – Grants you a new playable character (Limited)
- 1st: Gogeta (Super Saiyan 4)
- 2nd: Super 17
- 3rd: Omega Shenron
- I Want a second chance at Life! – Grants you a Attribute Point reset (Repeatable)
- I Want to be Drop Dead Gorgeous! – Enables you change your Custom Character's creation settings, but not their name (Repeatable)
All the ones listed in orange are the wishes you need for the Platinum trophy. This means you need to gather the Dragon Balls 7 different times and have made at least 7 wishes to Shenron.
Additionally, you can also receive Dragon Balls as free gifts from the system. You must be signed online to get gifts from Bandai Namco and Dimps through the Timespace Delivery station, which is located in the Plaza of Time and the Industrial Sector of Toki Toki City. I do advise you to be careful with this feature though because if you already have the gifted Dragon Ball(s) in your bag, then don't accept the item. If you do you'll waste your gift because you already have it. So it's best to select or gather the Dragon Balls you don't have, make a wish, then go back to the Timespace Delivery Station to accept the gifts. You will need to have cleared the Return of the Saiyans Saga before receiving the gifts.

To summon Shenron, you need to collect all 7 balls and place them on a special pedestal in one of the areas of Tokitoki City. It is located in the same place as the transition to the zone where Kayo of Time lives.
