How to unlock the World Champ Training achievement in DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE - Definitive Guide
I found a way how to do every trainer achievement in like 30-45 minutes !!!!
First of all you must have unlocked Parallel Quest 43.(i think you unlock this bye completing story missions)
second equip the move(s) you got for your trainer and take him twice with you on PQ 43...
You dont need to hit anything or do any of his tricks.
All you need to do is collect the 3dragon balls and the mission is over (takes like 30-60second)
Keep doing this mission over and over and your progress for your trainer will go up really fast :) !!!
Doing this method i lvl up 3 trainers to MAX in about 2 hours...
Here is a video of someone doing it (exept he is not taking his trainers with him like you schould do )

Training with Hercule: Beat the first half of the Cell Saga.
Quest 1 – Defeat Hercule
Reward: Dynamite Kick
Notes: Hercule is a very low level and extremely easy to defeat.
Quest 2 – Reduce Goten or Trunks' health
Reward: Present for You
Notes: This is a 2 on 1 battle. Half way through the fight Goten and Trunks will turn Super Saiyan. Towars the end Hercule will jump in to make it a 3 on 1. Once Goten or Trunks are near death they will retreat and the fight will end.
Quest 3 – Reduce Hercule or Majin Buu's health
Reward: Rolling Hercule Punch
Notes: You only have to take out one of them. Focus on Hercule since he is a very low level and easy to defeat.
Quest 4 – Defeat Hercule with Rolling Hercule Punch
Reward: The Savior Has Come, "That was just as fierce as I expected!"
Notes: Rolling Hercule Punch is a very weak and very inaccurate move. It requires specific spacing from your opponent as well as them being absolutely still in order for the attack to land. Hercule will not be KO'd unless you use the move on him so don't be afraid to do as much damage as possible.
Quest 5 - Sparring (optional)
Reward: "Eek! Waaaah! What'll I do?!"
Notes: In this fight Hercule has multiple health bars but is still as easy to defeat as ever, just chip away at his health.

Ive been able to go through trainers from start to finish in less then 2 hours each. Not doing any story missions, and not trying to level up.
Equip every move they give you, and then go to a PQ and choose them for both allies. Do their moves as much as possible. If you have Super Saiyan, just keep spamming their moves. Also use their move as the finishing move as often as you can.
After you do a few PQs pause, go to player data and hit LB to see your progress bar with them. It should be moving up (small amounts every 2-3 matches).

Same, it's stuck at 83% for me, and unlike with Cell and Ginyu, replaying his missions isn't fixing it this time...
Did it ever unlock for you Khronic Fury? I've read various posts of people that said this happened to them with the mentor and other achievements, and they just came back later to see it fixed at some point. If not I think the only option would be to fully delete the save and start over, blah.
No, looking at your list, this is the only mentor achievement you never got.
Edit: OK, after finishing everything else, I deleted my savefile and started over. Took about 4 hours to get back to where I could get Hercule as a master, and completing his first level of training gave me my last 13% and this popped.

Is the achievement glitched? I've completed everything and nothing. It says he's maxed in the game but the achievement is stuck at 75%.

Requirements: Reach level 30+ and finish half of the Android Saga.
After meeting these requirements, when you enter the city check all 3 main areas for mentors (There's only ever a maximum of two) and speak to Hercule if you see him.
Log out and back in to speed up the process.
Speak to him for a test where you'll win Dynamite Kick.
Continue with the game or Parallel Quests and speak to them after each for more tests.
Second: Present For You.
Third: Rolling Hercule Punch
Final: The Savior Has Come and your trophy.
You are now free to change mentors.
