How to unlock the Turtle School Trainee achievement in DRAGON BALL Z: KAKAROT - Definitive Guide

You can check your progress for each training challenge in the story menu. When at least one is done go to master Roshi's island and talk to him. I have found that this doesn't work if you just did a story mission or sub story mission involving master Roshi. Go do another activity and come back and it should work.

I would add, you just need to leave the map and return, don't need to strictly do anything. Also, turning in challenges will unlock the next rank, which you may have already completed, so you can talk to him multiple times. I didn't talk to him until I was about to leave for Namek, so I ended up with 37 completed challenges at once. At you only need 50 completed challenges total to get all three achievements associated with the challenges.
