As it says, this is for completing Ogden’s story without buying any weapons or armor. You’ll want to grind to about Level 15 before going north through the tunnel to Lakehaven. Check every pot and chest and you’ll find enough upgrades to give you an OK attack and defense. Definitely keep a healthy supply of herbs, ropes, and wyvern powders so you hopefully don’t get stranded and die. Once you get to Lakehaven, you will find some capture nets to capture creatures to fight for you. The person in the front of Lakehaven will sell Deluxe Capture Nets. The price doubles every time you buy one so use them sparingly.

The difference between the two is the deluxe can be used anytime during battle and is 100% successful, the regular needs to be used on creatures with low health and isn’t 100% successful. You’ll want to grab 3 creatures as damage sponges and extra attackers. The only downside is you will not be able to remove them for a while until after you get to Bluefin (you can remove them from the party in Wester at the same building with the bank). You may need to grind an extra level or two but this isn’t that hard.
