The Secret Achievement achievement in DRAGON QUEST XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age - Definitive Edition worth 14 pointsContinue playing to unlock this secret achievement
Cross the newly repaired bridge to the south. Exit to the Heliodor region. Continue heading south to cobblestone. Go back to your home (east, up a little hill) and a cutscene w)ill play. Head over to the tree with Gemma marked by a pink dot. Follow Gemma over to the river. Return to the main part of cobblestone for a cutscene.
Go North back to Heliodor region. Head East to the Emerald Coast. On the other side of the falls is a rock you can interact with to start a cutscene. Reaching level nine with your hero might be helpful in the upcoming dugeon--he'd learn Evac. Go south and up the stairs to Kingsbarrow. Continue up the steps to a cutscene. Go down the steps shown in the cutscene behind the statue. Enter the dungeon below. Use the map (Press
) and make you way to the stairs down.
At the bottom, you'll see a shiny monster. Shiny Monster can be mounted if you defeat them. It's not a boss or anything tough. It'll help you get progress towards another achievement and some good treasure. Then, continue through the door to the actual boss, a pair of grim Griffons. These have about 100 health and hit for 15 points each attack. It'll really help if you're pepped up for this fight. After their defeat, you'll have another cutscene. Now you can leave or cast Evac if you have it.
Go North, back to the emerald coast. Here, go East to the door of departure. They will be a cutscene after you pass under a log. The achievement will unlock after the cutscene.
