Make your way through the canyon. Go north, through the arch to Hotto. Head up the big stairson the right for a cutscene. Go right, down another short set of stairs and up the mountain to the steam baths. Here, head into the steam baths for a cutscene. Leave the baths afterwards. Go down the big set of stairs again.
The girl in the red cap is left of the main gate, go to her. A cutscene, then up the big set of stairs again, and left into the bar for another cutscene. Leave the town and return to the Hotto Steppe. Now you are going to the far West of the map, into the Cryptic Crypt.
In the dungeon, watch out for pit traps. Take the left path, by the Yggdrasil root (green scribble on map) to reveal one up ahead. Follow the path the shadow took. Head towards the save point for a cutscene. The save point here also fully heals you, so it's a good place to grind some XP. Go forward to the next Yggdrasil root and another cutscene. Go to the door. In this fight, you'll face Jarvis and three shadows. As with the other bosses, it'll help if you or Erik are pepped up. However, with Serena's healing, this is an easy fight. I recommend focusing on the shadows first. After the fight, a cutscene with play and you'll unlock the achievement.
