Once you've fully upgraded a weapon, you'll have the option of purchasing a further upgrade from The Dragonforged (Bay Wayside Shrine) by using Wyrmslife crystals.

Upgrade will cost you 15 *WLC (*WLC drops from Dragons), to get the achievement you must upgrade either armour OR weapon one time.

I did this on napped leather boots, easy to upgrade at an armorer and only cost 5 WLC, exited out of the game when it popped to save the WLC
