How to unlock the TRICKSTER achievement in Drawngeon: Dungeons of Ink And Paper - Definitive Guide

I wanted to write a quick basic guide for everyone who wants to complete the game and for beginners who are lost at what to do and where to go hope this helps as there really isn’t many guides for this

The game seems more confusing than what it basically is I’m going to try to keep this as short as possible

I recommend at the beginning of a run to pick up few mushrooms as you can just so you have some health items at the start just to be safe

Secondly go into the village hut the one next to the trader and the skill tree in here kill the enemies and go through the yellow door and around the corner in here will always be a guaranteed legendary chest with hopefully a weapon that has 24 damage or more on my 6 times testing I got it 5/6 times I got it so if you didn’t get a weapon with atleast that high I probably recommend to just reset and do it again

Go around kill enemies to get to a high enough level to get the health upgrade I think you need to be level 5 now sell any unwanted items to the tiki heads to get coins this is a better health item that you can get much easier than picking up mushrooms

From here the grind begins all you basically have to do you is go around to each dungeon to kill enemies get as much XP as you can get around level 15/20 should be enough the higher level more health you have what ever your more comfortable with if your someone like me who was confused at first the dungeons have no exit door so you have to back track to the start to get out again I recommend to purchase scrolls of teleportation from the trader in the village to make it faster in your runs not wasting time back tracking every time loot up as best you can getting a better shield is a must try and get this as high as you can hopefully you stumble open more legendary chest for a better weapon but the one you have should be fine and remember to hold onto some items to sell for more coins for health I just keep a coulple stacks just to be safe

Another tip if you purchase the health upgrade to consume items you can do more damage when you eat stuff like swords or axes make sure you look at what your doing first because some can give you negative stats most weapons you eat only effects your agility I believe and I don’t think you need that stat just make sure it’s only your weapon damage that goes up also the belts make you have more health when eating them but those also make all other stats go down a bit to it could be worth eating those just have to grind up your weapon damage a bit more all this stuff I just explained is just to be extremely safe I don’t think it is 100 percent needed but the slimes in the tower at the end of the game do alot of damage so better to be safe then sorry

Going through each dungeon every 6th cat has a chance to drop the best armour along with the monocle of invasion and mask of vampires witch you will need for other achievements so go for them when you see them probably best to fully explore each dungeon to get them make sure you get them all you need 24 for another achievement anyway

When you have a few more upgrade points I recommend to use the rest on some health points it only goes up to 5 extra heath point but the more the better right? It is also worth noting for other achievements you need atleast one upgrade point in every slot and a max backpack upgrade so you should grind a lot more on this run do not do this with the wizard as that has a lot more upgrades you have to do

When you think your comfortable and think your ready to complete the game go back to spawn go through the blue gate you need the key the chest go to the mysterious tower of the knight that should be infrount of you after opening that gate there’s about 6 floors to this dungeon on the first 2 floors just find the red door killing enemies at this point isn’t important so don’t need to be as thorough looking at every corner but if you still haven’t gotton the cat achievement then you will still have to keep looking after every corner after you get to the 2nd floor the doors will then need a key witch is randomly dropped by a enemies so look at there loot to see what they drop there is about 6 floors at the end of you going through each level you then come across a mirrored enemy this is when you know your close to the exit you should eventually come across a light but before going in make a full loop around the light and keep going straight to get the secret painting at the end of the level when done go into the light and that is your first playthrough done you’ll need to do this 2 more times with each other class but now that you have done it once you should just fly through it rather quickly another 2 times

It should roughly take around 4/5 hours depending on how fast your get the game down but trust me it isn’t as confusing as it looks at first the game can be saved half way through a play through so don’t worry

Hopefully this helped anyone who had no clue at what to do happy hunting

Haven’t seen this in any guides on here but after you finish the game with one character and while creating a new one, you have meta points to spend. You can use them to buy exp boosts on the character creation screen. Makes the 2nd and 3rd play thrus much much faster

The previous guides are only partially helpful, so here is what i found out in the hopes it might help someone:

First off, this should be the last character you need as this is by far the hardest. As i assume you did this, you will have some Metapoints you can spend in order to start the game with some items.

You need the Dice (allready in your inventory, equip them with cn_LT), a Hammer and either a Mustache or a Ring (this is down to personal preferance) which you should equip to make up space in the inventory. From now on our focus in the game is to make these items better, NEVER change your hammer for anything else!!
With the remaining Metapoints buy orbs of experience, consume them out of your inventory with cn_LT and make sure to reach at least level 18, preferably 20+

Start the game, run to the left and use your upgrade points on the first 2 (consume items for health and stats), Dexterity, Strength, Inventory space and lucky dice. These are the most important skills in this run.

Now you need to scourge the dungeons for better equipment. Whenever you run across a melee weapon, consume it for the damage boost. However, be careful to never drop your agility below 20, as this will make you A LOT slower than you can afford in this run. Also make sure to pick up the cats whenever you see them, every 6 cats grant you a rare mistery drop (aim for the vampire mask if possible!)
If you deal around 30+ damage you are good to go to enter the dungeon. Make sure to collect mushrooms (you need around 10+ teleport mushrooms to make your live easier). The mushrooms can be found behind the woman that exchanges mushrooms for a shield and they spawn new every time you leave/enter a dungeon.

Now to the tactic that neted me this achievement.
The hammer is a special weapon as it enables you to hit enemies from 1 field away, meaning they cant attack you back. Have one item in your inventory at all times, this is very important.
As soon as you see an enemy, stand 1 field away from them and DROP the item in your inventory.
The enemies in this game CAN´T cross a field where there is allready an item or obstacle in it, but will still try to attack you since you are in range. this keeps them 1 field away while you slowly whitle them down with your hammer.

Once you reach the final level, use the teleport mushrooms to get as close as possible to the exit to finish this area quickly without any unneccesary risks.

This might not be the most elegant solution, but it makes this run significantly easier as this characer is the worst!

The Trickster class is focused on movement speed, allowing you to quickly run through levels, attack and dodge before the enemy can counter, and it has special skills to deflect attacks. This was the third class I used to complete the game, so I mostly just ran past enemies when possible, and used the throwing knives for the toughest enemies since they are a one-hit kill. Put most of your points into Dexterity so you can outrun enemies.

This method is ideal for all classes
Instead of just putting on things and throwing away unnecessary ones, BE SURE to pump up eating skills, and eat everything that gives damage, because no matter what the enemy is, fists at 70 will put him on easy. So take level 15 orbs, upgrade it and go to the knight’s dungeon (directly to the right of the entrance to the tower) and pass without a hitch
