It's unclear exactly what contributes to getting Amanda's bad ending, but in my experience, the more I interacted with her (always choosing the top option when I did), the more likely I was to get the bad ending. Here's what I did:

- Always chose the top dialogue option during the non-date stuff
- Did not sleep with Robert (Bad Dad)
- Went on two dates with all dads before choosing an ending (this gives you more dialogue time with Amanda)
- This probably has zero to do with it, but I chose the dads going from right to left on Dadbook.

This will unlock during the epilogue barbecue, when you're talking to Amanda and she tells you she's not ready to go to college.
