If youve noticed you're falling short of floor completion, its because Every floor has a secret room.
This room will be randomly located and can be found using a bomb where a gate would normally be. If you use a bomb in the same room it will make the spot glow like this
Once bombed it will open a door like this
Secret rooms almost always have at least two other rooms surrounding them so by process of elimination you can clear all the rooms and then check for locations where a gate could be that has no scenery blocking it.

When i cleared out the floor (except for the boss) the map actually showed a bomb icon on the room with the secret so i didnt even have to look.

certain items can reveal secret rooms and such, but never had it shown for clearing a floor
