How to unlock the Light Up the Night achievement in DREDGE - Definitive Guide
To unlock this achievement you will need to be on the final tier of ship upgrades as there physically is not enough light spaces prior to this.
After this the easiest way to do it will to buy and install either:
- One "Incandescent Array" - 3x1 light that has the required 3000 lumens by default
- Two "Tungsten Floodlight"s - 2x1 lights that have 2100 each (combined 4200L)
- or one "Tungsten Floodlight" and one "Halogen Spotlight" - 2x1 lights that have 2100 and 1800 (combined 3900)
These combinations require the least amount of individual lights bought, although there are other combinations with multiple versions of the smallest 1x1 lights.
I had all these required lights unlocked in the Shipwright at the third tier of ship upgrades and/or after turning in the ring from Stellar Basin (I am unsure which unlocked it first). I have attached a picture showing my boat at the time of unlocking, alongside what I had for the engine and rod achievements too.

How exactly would you install two 2x1 Tungsten Floodlights?

Dependent on how many spaces you have available for Lights in your cargo hold, and the equipment available at the Traveling Merchant or Shipwright throughout the game or rewarded through Pursuits (See The Moment for the below reward), you can combine a series of equipment to reach the number you need. Any combination of the below Lighting equipment totaling 3000 lumens (or lm) or above will garner you this trophy.
Lighting space is fairly limited and a bit awkward. At best, you will have 4 spaces in a T formation, so most likely you will get this when you equip the Incandescent Array or Flame of the Sky towards the end. I have listed the amount of space each takes up below as well.
Items available for purchase (all lights are made available over time throughout the game):
