Not all random events seem to unlock this.
I had the meteor shower one and some kind of ice event, and neither popped this achievement on round 4.
But on round 7 or 8 I had the event where there are no enemies, but you have a jumping parkour challenge to get some boosts. As soon as this round finished I got the achievement, and I didn't even get to the end of the jumping challenge!

Random events can be anything from, Bonus items on platforms you have to jump across to another wave of enemies.
Usually every 5 rounds you get one of these. Just make sure if you get the one that tells you to jump on the platform to do it as soon as possible as you sustain massive damage from the fire on the outside.
For the bonus platforms that go high into the sky I personally wouldn't run the risk of falling out of the playing area(Unless you need the achievement to do so) and just wait for the time to expire for it to end and unlock the achievement.
I have a full playthrough which covers everything below if needed.

These range from jumping on platforms to collect gifts, being invaded by slime, being bombarded by an asteroid shower, being covered in darkness, confronting mini-bosses, and so on. If you survive the wave and it’s one of these random events, the achievement will unlock.
Note: This has been known to unlock early and not on a random event wave.
