@Wardieshire. Thank you so much for the specs. I knew nothing about the preload of the bike or how it drastically improved my cornering. I dropped my gear ratios by one and my front preload by two and got silver on the '80s time trial on the first lap. Up until I read your post, I missed it by 3 seconds a dozen times. Thanks again for the solution and the comment section.

Is it just me! I'm having a hell of a time betting the time laps. Is there a certain setting I need to put on? Thanks
By ILLMOUNTAINDEWU on 14 Dec 2017 01:43
i did the physics on standard and made anti wheelie on out. I have also tried several times for one or the other

For those struggling with time trials I turned off auto braking and I was able to shave off a few seconds that way.

Yeah, been trying to get bronze on the Time attack in the 80's.
Just can't do it. I suck.

Turning off auto braking works and can save you a lot of seconds! Just keep trying if you fail. The 80s time trial is probably the hardest of the game. I beat it with only a couple of milliseconds left 😂

Timeattacks are near impossible for average players. You have to be pretty darn good for those.

80s time attack SUCK!!! Cant shave enough second off even with auto brake off. I keep clearing it 2-3secs over bronze

The time attacks aren't that bad, if you can complete the harder bucket lists on Forza Horizon games then you should be able to get bronze on these time attacks with a bit of persistence.
For the later time trials using the faster bikes I ended up dropping each gear (including the final ratio) by 1 in the bike settings which sped me up a bit. Also if you find the bike under steers, drop the front height (under preload in suspension in the bike setting). Even by dropping it by just 1 makes a massive difference to the cornering which is where the seconds are saved.
I also had my traction control set to low to give me that extra speed boost.
What really made the difference for me though was having semi automatic gears and manually moving up the gears as I accelerate. This could shave seconds off my lap time as it cuts out the lag when the auto gears switch up.
For other settings I had PHYSICS (standard), AUTO BRAKES (off), JOINT BRAKES (on), ANTI WHEELIE (full), TUCK-IN (automatic) IDEAL TRAJCTORY (full), and as stated earlier TRANSMISSION (semi-automatic), TCS (low).
For the record, I am pretty average at racing games, usually towards the back of the pack in multiplayer races and I have little knowledge of how drive motorbikes so if I can get these done without much issue then most people shouldn't have much problem either.

I’ve found that as with real bikes stiffening up the suspension helps as well. It makes it easier when you accelerate out of the corners because the bike is less wobbly and faster to get the speed up.

To whoever is reading this, breathe, assuming you are on the second to past trail for the 80s, you got this. It may take some practice and tuning but you should be able to nail a bronze. For my gears I used final ratio =2 gears 1- 4 1 and then I think 2 for fifth and 6th I used 3 or 4. I used the race options as stated above. I think it's a lot of learning the track.

Time laps would definitely get you some time to practice, especially for casual racing game gamer.

I'm definitely not a pro racer but that time trial everyone is talking about wasn't hard. I missed the gold by about .125 my first lap and nailed it on my 2nd lap. You just can't race a road bike race like you would any race with a car.

When all the actual useful stuff is found on the comments sections then you know that you have written a bad solution.
All you have done is just list all the events which anyone just browsing the menus will be aware of. Here have my downvote and learn how to write a solution not a description.
ClassieePompano, your comment is at least as pointless...
By dersuedwanderer on 16 Jul 2020 06:43
I agree with @ClassierPompano, this is not a guide, this is a description. Here is my downvote as well.

I got a medal on every race but the achievement didnt pop 👎 any help?
Edit: i did a random race again and the achievement unlocked

You don’t need to get gold on the time trails, so stop wasting your time with that! Bronze is sufficient! Just finish in the top 3 on the races. Doesn’t take long to get this achievement, I finished this game in 5 days.

Thanks Happy Dog, glad bronze is only needed!
