I started a offline skirmish mode against one AI. Small map, no worms, no storms, easy locals and low spice contract. 1.5x speed.
For this achievement you will need to upgrade the buildings around your MAIN HUB. This requires gold currency and time.
The best way I found was starting a game on the settings above and just capturing villages with spice fields in and just harvesting as much spice as possible to sell and just upgrading the hub as soon as you can and whenever one finishes get another started.
Here is a photo of the House Atreides hub fully upgraded. At the bottom of the photo you can see the places you have the click labelled buildings to upgrade. Note you do not have to pick the same ones I did. This is an example.
I did get this achievement after an hour and half of playing but I was playing casually, also if you raise the game speed at the start might help with getting this achievement faster.
