How to unlock the Dig Dugged achievement in Dungeon Defenders II - Definitive Guide

The best place I found for this one is on the "Forest Crossroads".
Only 3 lanes, so it's easy to do solo with lvl 50 character.

Not working anymore.

"For those still curious, the Withers spawn quite regularly on later levels, just look for the pinkish crystals. Quite a few on "The Wyvern Den" and a good spot to farm Mystic and Legendary gear while around level 30."

The Witherbeasts. They are the 4 legged purple beasts with the purple crystals on their backs that dig in the ground right? just making sure i know which monster this ach links to. And for others to find out if unsure too.

Not sure whether it’s due to an update but these enemies didn’t even spawn on this map.

Witherbeasts are enemies with a blue body and purple crystals on top.

They heal other enemies when they burrow, emitting crosses that allow you to know they’re healing. They typically will not burrow until they reach the objective the players are defending, i.e. a crystal cart.

I have found that playing the Harbinger on Normal is the best place to farm these kills. To set up, switch to the Monk and set down fire traps in all three lanes, as many as you can fit. Then, beat the first stance of the Harbringer. In his second stance, the enemies that attack will come in waves every 30-60 seconds or so, and every wave will come with a Witherbeast that can easily be killed. Continue to farm the kills without damaging the Harbringer to have this loop over and over. Using this method, all 50 kills can be done in under an hour.

Kill 50 crystal 'dogs' before they burrow.
There are a lot of them (like kamikazes) in the second part of the campaign.
