How to unlock the Merchant of Ehb achievement in Dungeon Siege III - Definitive Guide

As of now 6/28/11 this achievement is slightly bugged. You must sell 100,000 worth of items in a single session not adventure as the achievement says. While this seems like a hard task its really quite simple. The achievement can be earned at any point in the game where you have even a single item to sell for gold, obviously the more items you have and the more expensive they are the less time it will take.

Anytime you sell an item it will be added to the buyback menu in all the shops up to a maximum of 42 items with the most recent 42 items taking precedence. The trick is that you can buyback an item for the same exact price you sell it meaning you can buy and sell the same item or items indefinitely and the gold spent counter will keep increasing. Just make sure you do this all in one session without exiting and you'll have the achievement.

Don't worry if you get the deed before the achievement because the deed tracks all items sold across all sessions on the same character it's just the achievement tracker that is bugged.

It is handy to know that it is bugged, also a shame it is. I will wait for my 2nd playthrough to get this in one go

The 100,000dmg is most likely bugged with the same issue, I got my deed for it in the 3rd major boss battle but no achievement :-(

I do think the achievement is *supposed* to be cumulative and just isn't working correctly. Hopefully obsidian will put out a patch and fix these minor bugs.

During a multi-player session each player needs to sell 100k worth of items.

I did the same thing as DrShoe. The accumulation didn't work, so I made a save on the Spire, equipped all my starting gear, and sold everything I had. Popped immediately.

I did this yesterday - around the Hero's Crypt I had some decent gear, so I saved game - equipped everything back down to my starting dear and hit a merchants. Each total sell earnt me £9k+, so simply selling and then buying back 11 times earnt me the massive 5G - took me 4mins max.

Shame - a Cheev like this should be cumulative.

rather easy , wen you hit the point were you go to the spire spend your gold on buying gear from the shop then selling it back to the shop again.

youl be spending more then gaining but its easier then farming items from mobs :P

Removed my comment as the achievement finally popped. It was weird but I had the deed "Merchant of Ehb" come up but not the achievement. So just kept playing and kept selling and eventually the achievement came. Maybe because I bought back some stuff that made the deed and achievement not sync with one another.

I kept selling then buying back a few items worth about 4000 coins in total and after about 10 minutes the cheevo popped no problem. Thumbs up.

I farmed for several hours in the beginning (started just before beating the eastern forest) of the game and sold, sold, sold...I made it to level 11 or 12 and put all the points I could into my trade attribute. The eastern forest continuously pours out good rare items from all the spiders there.

I'm sure there are easier ways but farming the eastern forest worked really well for me!

Good luck!

Glitchy.

This is an easy trophy, just collect everything that drops from creature kills and destroyed objects and sell them at a merchant. To get this trophy quicker, use Lucas as he has an ability (Trade Master) that will increase the sale value of all items by 4% each rank (5 ranks total). You can confirm you have gotten over the 100,000 mark by checking your deeds. For me, I got the deed long before getting the trophy, just keep going and it will come eventually.

An easy way to receive this, is to sell all your items and then re-purchase them and sell again. Keep doing this until you get the trophy. Thanks to XNebula for the spot and LMessi10 for confirming this works.

Achiev is buggy.

To get it closer to the middle of the game, by killing mobs, etc., etc., you collect a full inventory of things. You go to the seller, sell everything, then buy back everything you sold for the same price as you sold and start selling again, repeat until you receive an achievement.
