How to unlock the Untouchable achievement in Dungeons 4 - Definitive Guide
This one is not hard... but you will often have spiders / heroes come in and attack with random routes. The Drill will open up spider nests that you can't stop from respawning.
What I did was place 5 iron doors in all 4 directions leading to the dungeon heart. That gave me more than enough time to react to any team that got close. If I didn't have the doors, I could make a mistake and not pay attention to the map...and realize that someone is near my heart without noticing.
I did try a ton of traps... but the spiders ended up digging up different routes which made all my money and materials on traps worthless. So the door method was easier in the end.

Another trick is to surround your Dungeon Heart with Gobbler rooms, Spiders will always stop to kill gobblers and you will get a message about it, giving you more time to react. This means you can use regular traps for heroes, it you already earned the trap skill (and the cheaper Dungeon Research skill) this makes traps easy to scale up in damage before the heroes get strong.
You don’t have to get fancy with traps, just alternate small slime and small spike on the ground and saw traps along the walls for 15-21 tiles. That should kill even most level 8 parties. You don’t need the advanced traps.
Use a Workshop that’s double to triple the size of your starting Workshop and put three machines in it so you’ll always have plenty of boxes to spam out new build orders right before you leave the dunegon or whatever.
