How to unlock the Total Blowout achievement in Dunk Lords - Definitive Guide
This one is a bit tricky, but I did manage to get it pretty easily with some luck. Here's what I recommend:
Characters:
For my team, I used Slice and Orwell. Both characters are very well-rounded and pretty easy to use. Both of their special attacks are consistent enough to where you can keep knocking your opponents down with them. Just to clarify, this isn't their charged special where you have to hold , but just pressing it is what we need here.
Gear:
I'm not sure if the gear the game gives you is random every time, but in my game, I obtained the rainbow gloves for both characters so it was easier to pass the ball with it being intercepted by the opposing team. It's like a lob pass. Also there are dunking boots that you can buy that make it so you can dunk anywhere inside the 3-point line, given that you have the stamina to do so.
Tips:
- Always try to be stealing the ball from your opponent with .
- I suggest using the shotpads on the court whenever you can just to give yourself extra advantages like special stars and extra cash to buy gear between quarters.
- Be sure to familiarize yourself with the controls as they can be a little tricky to get used to at times.
I wasn't even really going for this achievement when I unlocked it. I was going for the Slam Stars achievement where you have to score 35 dunks on opponents that are on hard difficulty or higher.
My strategy was dunking the ball with +, and shortly after the opposing team puts in back into play, I would use my special attack by pressing , which would cause the opponent to lose the ball, and make it easy for me to recover it and dunk again. Eventually the points just kept coming. This game is very fast paced so take your time getting used to that as well.
If anyone else has anything extra to suggest, please do so, as I am no expert at this game, and I am only sharing what worked for me. I'm sure there are many other strategies people can used. This is just how I did it.
Good luck everybody

I've done this 10 times now scoring up to 90 points and it will not unlock for anything. I got the 20 3s achievement and the 35 dunks one easily, both games scored over 70. I also have played regular games and scored over 70. I don't get it.

You’re playing a hard difficulty right?

Using slice makes this much easier. All I did was dunk using RT+X while I’m at The M pad. Using the mega gets me 3/4 dunks in like 4 seconds maybe a bit more. Another tactic I used was using slice special ability on opponents after I had scored taking the ball and dunking from or shooting from The M pad. Another thing is if you have a match to get the boots where it makes it 3 points for a dunk. Makes the achievement way much easier.
