How to unlock the Everybody Dance Now achievement in Dying Light - Definitive Guide
The easiest way to get a group of zombies to be simultaneously shocked with electricity is to make them gather in a puddle of water next to an electrical switch. Jump on top of a building or dumpster and use firecrackers to get the attention of the zombies in the area. Throw the firecrackers into the pool of water in order to make them stand inside. Once 5 of them are standing there, jump down, interact with the switch, and fry them! Achievement unlocked.
+1
I have the same problem with zombies just walking away from me and/or firecrackers.
And to top that, i tried this stupid thing 15x, always when i gatherd 5 zombies, i pulled the switch and they all "danced" but i never got the achievement, you know why?
Because one or two zombies just vanished after beeing hit with electricity.
Fuck this game! SO many glitches and bugs!
You'll need firecrackers, conductive liquid, and a modified weapon with electricity
-Find any large group of zombies and gather them with firecrackers (aim for 6 or more just in case)
-use one or more conductive liquids to cover the group
-Use a modified weapon with electricity to hit an outside zombie and watch the light show
the achievement should pop almost immediately. I found this to be a lot easier than 100+ tries on that electric tarp.
(edit) The only drawback is you don't find much conductive liquid. There is a blueprint for purchase at random (thanks to all that helped confirm it) and it becomes easily obtainable
This was the second to last achievement I needed, and I got it using the conducting liquid plus electric weapon on the first attempt after trying the other way several times.
Make sure you have some spare firecrackers and lure them to the water. Once they are close throw the firecrackers and make sure at least 5 zombies are standing directly in the water. Pull the switch the switch and watch them dance.
If needed you can walk through slowly through the path avoiding the electricity. As they try to get to you, they will come from different directions getting shocked and die as they all run into the electricity, this will get you two achievements in one quest.
You need:
- firecrackers
- electrolite
- low damage weapon with electric mod
Go to area with lots of zombies. Stand on car. Attract zombies with firecrackers, use electrolite on zombies, go down, stand in the center of zombies and use your low damage weapon with electric mod.
To unlock this achievement you'll first need to obtain the skill in the Survivor skill tree that lets you use electric and fence traps. You'll then need to lure 5 enemies to a fence trap, using electric traps with a break that has a cable running into a puddle that you can then turn on when a group of zombies are in the puddle, or you can get lucky with a lightning arc from an electric weapon (tier 3 electric weapons have the best chances of working). There are also a number of areas where the floor is covered in water and you have the option to turn on a breaker to electrocute multiple zombies at once. The video below, courtesy of Maka, shows a guaranteed spot to get this achievement.
You will notice puddles of water on the floor in many places throughout the game. You will want to use these puddles in order to earn the trophy. Simply lead 5 or more zombies onto a puddle using firecrackers, followed by pulling the switch with near the puddle to activate the electricity. By doing this, you will shock the zombies that are stepping on the puddle. You must shock 5 or more simultaneously to unlock the trophy however, so shocking 5 in a row will not count unless they're all shocked at the same time.
Alternatively, you can run into a group of zombies and hit one of them if you have a weapon with a shock mod attachment. Doing this will trigger a chain where the electric jumps from one zombie to another. You can also hit 5, with a low grade weapon and if you are quick enough they will all electrocute.
