How to unlock the High Flyer achievement in Dying Light - Definitive Guide

To get this you must have:

(a) a two handed weapon, such as a sledgehammer and
(b) the Ground Pound (under the Power skill tree) skill

So what you do is:

1) Go find a bunch of infected clustering around a bus. I went to Infamy Bridge over on the far right of the map because it's crawling with infected and you have to get to the bridge for this:

2) Hop on top of the bus
3) Throw down a firecracker to get the infected to bunch up.
4) When they are clustered, face the infected,
5) Press cn_RB to jump and as you are mid way down hold cn_B. You'll know you're starting a ground pound because motion slows down.
6) Now turn around and go back to step 2

If you want to get this as soon as possible then go with SneakyStabbalots guide. You can unlock the Ground Pound ability in the Power Tree at level 7. However if you have patience and wait to Power level 10, you can unlock Drop Attack which also works for this achievement and in my opinion is more reliable, easier and fun.

The problem I found with Ground Pound is it took too long to set up. You have to get a group of people together and find somewhere high enough to jump from and go through the animation. And then a lot of the times the enemies would only get stunned. Never mind finding a reliable 2 handed weapon.

Using the Drop attack you can just simply run around the town with a more nimble one handed weapon, and every time you jump hold cn_RT as you land and as long as there is a zombie where you are landing you will get a kill every time. This will come along very quickly and you will not need to go anywhere out of your way.

Thanks for this. I found the ground pound doesn't reliably kill enemies, and the in-game description wasn't very helpful on how to actually do a drop attack. This guide helped a lot.

Both of these abilities are unlocked via the Power tree, at levels 7 and 10, respectively. The first ability (Ground Pound) requires a two-handed weapon to be equipped, and then you simply jump in the air and hold to slam the weapon into the ground and deal area damage and knock enemies over. Drop Attack uses a single-handed weapon for a guaranteed kill on standard enemies, and is performed by being in the air over them (jumping over or dropping from a roof) and holding to kill them instantly from above. Since you'll be traversing rooftops constantly throughout the game (since rooftops are safer than the streets), just make a conscious effort to perform these kills once you unlock the relevant skill.

In order to earn this trophy, you must kill 25 enemies using the "Drop Attack" Power Skill. Do not even bother using Ground Pound, as it's not very efficient at all towards killing enemies, while Drop Attack kills a zombie instantly. In order to unlock Drop Attack, you must first unlock Ground Drop and reach Power level 10. After you've learned Drop Attack, use a powerful weapon with good stability and kill enemies from mid air. You can also vault over enemies if you've learned the skill and hold down, not tap, the button to trigger this move while in mid air. You will know when you've done it right, because you will impale a zombie through the heart. After you've impaled 25 zombies, the trophy will unlock.
