How to unlock the Is It Really Necessary? achievement in Dying Light - Definitive Guide

A solution isn't all too necessary for this achievement.
After a few skip able cut scenes and following orange marker waypoints you will pick up a weapon wieldable with cn_RT. Hit the infected a few times in the neighboring room (also waypoint) and pop. Any difficulty and non-missable

How is this achievement glitched for me? I've played for hours already, also crafting an item doesn't unlock

Maybe it's not an achievement that is omitted, but rather crushed for some .. Yesterday I launched the game and so far I don't have it unlocked (even though I got other achievements for killing zombies) .. Maybe it's a temporary glitch with xbox live .. But if now you won't get there, just restart the game.

A friend helped offer this solution in the past when an achievement doesn't immediately pop:

hit guide
go to 'all achievements'
wait a few seconds
see if that helps!

This achievement as well as the crafting one item just do not unlock, they are still broken.

not suggesting you save but have you tried creating a new game just to pop that one? Curious if that works. Seeing as how there are still recent winners of it it must still be possible.

As the description says, this achievement will unlock upon killing your first zombie. This will be your first achievement.

Chances are that this will be the very first trophy that you unlock. To earn this trophy, simply kill your first "infected". The Infected are Zombies and you will face your first one when you reach the 13th floor in the beginning of the game. Use to swing your melee weapon towards the Infected's head to kill it instantly and the trophy will unlock.
