How to unlock the Prom Night achievement in Dying Light - Definitive Guide

I would recommend having some firecrackers with you when you do this.. At night, to get this going, go and piss off a volitile zombie, and RUN. More volitiles will follow in behind you. At the top right of your screen, you'll see a meter with a red orb appear when you're being chased. As soon as it gets to level 2, start throwing down firecrackers to loose the volitiles. After running away, game will say "pursuit avoided", and Achievement unlocked!toast

P.S. You CANNONT jump into a safe house to lose a persuit. It will say persuit avoided, but it won't count, you must lose the volitiles by running from them, not jumping to a safe area.

I've tried this bout 5 times now and it still won't unlock for me, think it might be glitched in my game : (

Yeah it could very well be that. This achievement is glitched for a friend of mine, and a couple other achievements in this game are glitched for me.

I got this yesterday the first time it gets dark and I ran into the tower. Though admittedly, I may have lost them just before running in...

Weird I got this in old town by standing on the wire heading out from a statehouse, shooting volatiles then stepping back into safehouse

Can combine this with one of the story missions. When you first are introduced to the volatiles, you are actually instantly right on a two star pursuit. Don't run to a safe house as this won't count, you have to actually lose the pursuit. Use firecrackers and traps. Just don't stop moving and you will lose them.

I just jumped of the ledge into the water. Went pretty easily during that story mission.

I accidentally unlocked this achievement during the story mission in which you get introduced to the volatiles for the first time. After the cutscene, you find yourself in a chase (level 2). I failed this part and eventually died. I respawned in a random place, away from the spot where I died. The volatiles did not know where I was, and the spot where I ended up seemingly did not count as a safe zone, because the achievement popped shortly after my respawn.

It's an incredible unsatisfying way of unlocking it and I was more like 'wow, that's lame' when it popped but if for some reason you are struggling with this one, you could try simply dying.

I found out early on that volatiles cannot go into water. I did it like this: get near some water and create the ruckus of your choice (i used a gun) and draw them close to you. Run around a bit to draw a couple near but stay close to the water. As soon as you get to level two jump in the water. Eventually they will move on.

This can also be done by killing enough of them in the area since there will not be anybody left to chase you. Obviously only when you are high level. (Note; Survivor level 25)
But after killing about 8-10 there was no more around coming in and the achievement unlocked after "pursuit evaded" came up.

I did this outside the tower in the slums, the exit with the larger area in front (looking at the other tower) while farming the blinding of them

This achievement is unmissable as it is unlocked during the mission Airdrop.

At night, the zombies are much more aggressive, in bigger herds, and there are Volatiles present, all of which make night exploration and survival much more difficult. As you run around killing zombies at night, you will notice a vertical bar of bubbles start to fill up. The more bubbles you have filled up, the crazier the zombies will get. Ultimately the zombies will start to morph into insane zombies, zombies that blow up, and zombies that are extremely aggressive. Thankfully, you only need to get the bubble meter to level 2, which will actually come naturally through your gameplay as long as you explore at night at some point.

A night pursuit is determined by 4 levels. The first level means you have been noticed by either a viral, or a volatile. If you kill more zombies or more Volatiles/Virals join in the chase, then the pursuit level will increase. You can see what your pursuit level is by looking at the diamond shapes next to the mini-map. When two of these are red, the pursuit is level 2. The easiest way to get this trophy is to simply run across the infamy bridge. Just by running to the broken end, you should have got at least 2 levels added to your pursuit. Once you have two, just simply jump into the water at the end. This will also give you the A Long Way Down trophy if you don't have it already. If you get to the end and you are still on a 1 level pursuit just wait at the end of the bridge and kill zombies until it increase. The trophy will unlock when you escape the pursuit, which should happen soon after you end up in the water.
