How to unlock the Strong achievement in Dying Light - Definitive Guide

To increase your power level, you need to kill zombies, goons, Rais' soldiers and other enemies. As it's extremely satisfying and mandatory to kill all of the above, you should have no trouble levelling up.

As you progress through the game, you'll gradually build up your power meter the more you play. I unlocked this just around the halfway mark and that was in co-op so you could indefinitely do it much faster if you're in single player. You may want one of your friends who has played the game to a certain extent to drop you some extremely strong weapons, which is what my friend did for me.

Easiest method I found was when you unlock the fence trap outside of the tower doors. Once you can use these, sleep until night, find some Volatiles lurking around the immediate area, have them chase you to the northern entryway, and use the fence trap on them. The trap won't kill them, but it will do decent damage to the, stun them for a very brief moment, which leaves enough time to hit them into the spiked barrel next to the door. Rinse and repeat this and you'll rank up in no time.

This is similar to my trophy solution for Agile... Go on a killing spree at night time, keep an eye out for large groups of zombies and have at 'em! Your power points will double meaning you'll level up twice as fast so this is a good way of achieving this.

You'll probably have already reached level 10 by the time you can unlock these abilities but in addition, I also stumbled across a fantastic way of leveling up your power skill tree VERY fast!

Once you reach Old Town you'll find a couple of what seem like town squares, and you'll notice they're over-run with zombies. I found a great way to level up Power skills was to first unlock the 'Kill Frenzy' ability which give you a bonus and stacks your points for killing consecutive zombies, (so the more you kill the higher the bonus.) Also unlock 'camouflage', 'camouflage attack' & 'takedown'.

Now find a zombie nearby to the town square, kill it, use camouflage and then enter the square. Work your way around the square by walking up behind zombies, using takedown to kill them instantly and then move onto the next one. You can kill a LOT of zombies in a very short space of time by doing this and because of 'kill frenzy' your points will start stacking up really quickly. By doing this at night... they'll stack up even faster! You'll be able to do this time and time again without being detected. But remember, your camouflage won't last forever so every 10-15 zombies you'll have to re-use it with one you've just killed.

You may also find that there's one of those big Armour plated tank zombie bastards in the square so it may be worth your time killing him first. Be sure to pick up the loot that the zombies drop as well!

Leveling in Dying Light is broken down into three XP pools: Agility, Power, and Survivor.

Agility – This is what dictates how well you can maneuver around, and through the zombie horde. Leveling this stat gives you speed boosts, enhanced parkour skills, enhanced healing, and the extremely useful grappling hook. This stat is leveled primarily through climbing, running at max speed, and jumping.

Power – This is what puts weight behind your attacks and allows you to cut through enemies faster, and more efficiently. It also opens up some of your execution moves that allow you to instantly dispatch most foes. This stat is leveled through combat and killing.

Survivor – This is basically your overall level, as it gives you more general skills, such as the ability to craft new items, take more damage, and do other stuff that enhances your overall survivability. This stat is leveled through quests and missions, as well as by collecting air drops and returning them to a quartermaster (hand-cart icon on your map).

All Stats – Both Agility and Power receive double XP at night, and you will receive extra Survivor XP bonuses at the end of every night you survive for going unnoticed.

Note: You will LOSE Survivor XP upon your death. Thankfully, many frequent deaths usually don’t penalize you, and if they do, the costs are reduced.

In order to earn this trophy, you must reach Power level 10. You can earn Power XP by: Killing enemies, activating traps, and completing power challenges. This is probably the hardest skill to level up. However, reaching level 10 will come naturally during your platinum run. Earning XP during the night also doubles what you earn so if you activate traps while killing enemies, then you'll earn a good chunk of XP. When you reach level 10, the trophy will unlock.
